Eden’s Garden & Forever Fern; a fun way to use the Picture This dies

Monday evening I created projects with the Forever Fern bundle for my weekly Tuesday Facebook Live. But by the next morning the Forever Fern stamp set was sold out; gone.  So I had to switch gears a bit and decided to substitute Forever Fern with Eden's Garden. I think it turned out lovely!

See the Eden's Garden set here.  It was $22 and is now just $9.20, while supplies last.

There are dies to match called the Eden dies seen here. They were $35 and are now just $14.

I used all retiring inks and card stock – Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry & Pear Pizzazz.  I had to focus on my Bermuda Bay; I'll sure miss this color!  The card stock, ink and refill are already sold out.

I wanted to feature the Picture This dies too; I honestly love these dies and use both the full windows die-cut and the stitched label pieces left over. Each side is stitched! They're perfect for greeting labels. This 2 piece set of dies is now $27.20; it was $34.  See them here.

Measurements:

  • Bermuda Bay card base 8 ½” X 5"
  • White die-cut piece is 3 ¾” X 5”, White stamped piece is 3 5/8" X 4 7/8"
  • Rich Razzleberry 3 7/8” X 5 1/8”

Below you can see the Forever Fern card on the left and the Eden's Garden card on the right.

I think the color combination is beautiful.  I'll sure miss these colors!

Below are the three cards I shared on the video.  I think the Forever Fern stamp set is one of the most gorgeous set of stamps Stampin' Up! has ever made. The distinktive quality of the images gives a true multi-hued effect; it's my very favorite type of stamp.  I'm sorry it retired and that it's already sold out.  You can get it in French still…..

Things are flying off the shelves on the retiring Last Chance Sale.  Thank you to all who have placed orders with me this week!  I sure appreciate it!!!

Here's the video I shared how to make the window card with the Picture This dies.  Plus two other cool projects using up card stock strips! Click on the photo below.  Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel!

  • He’s the Man fun fold card; Facebook Live tonight!

Here's the card  we're making tonight for Stamp with Me Live. It's at 7:30 pm CT here.
Gather some supplies and create along with me.

I used He's the Man DSP; no stamping on the front.  I used the die-cuts included in the special He's the Man designer series paper.  I love this paper with the two sheets of fun elements we can use for card making or scrapbooking.

It's a fun fold card with the bottom half opening up to reveal the same angled square piece as the front. These are from the Stylish Shapes dies seen here.  This set of dies is all stitched in squares, circles and banner shapes!

    Measurements:
    • Card base 5 1/2" X 4 1/4", & 2 1/4" X 11" scored at 5 1/2"
    • embossed back is 5 1/4" X 4"
    • Squares 2 3/4" & 2 3/8"
    • DSP 5 1/4" X 2"
    Other products used:
Dies are Stylish Shapes; Brick embossing folder & Rustic Metallic adhesive-backed dots.

The stamp is from the He's All That bundle; the arrow is another element from the Designer Paper seen here.

Join me here where I'll share a few more cards made with this layout.

  • Glimmer Paper meets the Slim Card dies for a big WOW!

I hope you're not tired of the Slim line cards I've been sharing this week.  I've been having a lot of fun making them with the Slim Card dies and the Slim Saying stamp set.

I shared these striking cards on FB Live Tuesday:

I wanted to use the new 2022-24 In Color glimmer paper, I knew it would show off it's ombre' effect nicely with the Slim Card dies.  I chose to use the 2 in colors of Parakeet Party with Starry Sky.

The Slim Sayings bundle is retiring this month and available while supplies last.  BUT the Slim Card dies are on sale now at 50% off!  See them here.  It's a better deal to get the Slim Card dies separately from the Slim Sayings stamp set even though they are available in a bundle.

    Measurements:

    • Card base 8 1/2" X 7 1/4" scored at 3 5/8"
    • White layer for the die-cut 3 1/2" X 8 1/2"

I had to cut the colored glimmer paper twice since it's in 6 X 6" size and the die is about 8 1/2" long.  I also used the Picture This dies for the greeting label and the Starlit punch for the glimmer stars; also punched from the In Color Glimmer paper.

I saved the outside pieces from the chevron glimmer paper and made this card:

I just couldn't throw it away and decided it could be used for a second card.  I adhered the two colored pieces to a piece of White card stock and trimmed off the excess before adding it to a card base of Orchid Oasis.

  • Easy Kite Delight Fun Fold card with video & measurements

I cannot believe I forgot to share this neat card!  We made it at my April card clubs; it's a fun fold featuring the Kite Delight stamp set & the Pattern Party designer paper.

This stamp set is on the Last Chance list and is on sale at just $12.60 instead of $18.

The color combination includes Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Black & White.  The kites are colored in with Blends markers and the Cloud Punch adds a fun detail for the greeting banner.

Here's how it opens up to reveal the other side of your double sided designer paper.  The Pattern Party DSP is retired now; it was in the annual catalog and free for hosts.

As you can see I changed the cards up just a bit.  I swapped the yellow kits and used two different greetings too.

    Measurements:

    • Black base 4 1/4" X 5 1/2", layer 2 5/8" X 3 7/8"
      • DSP 4" X 10 3/4" scored at 3" & 8 1/4"
      • White die-cut 2 1/2" X 3 3/4", inside 3 3/4" X 5"
      • Yellow greeting strip 3/4" X 3 3/4"

I shared this card during last week's FB Live.  Watch it here and see all three Kite Delight cards I made.
