Easy Tri-fold card with a pocket and video tutorial

I LOVE this special project today!  I made it on FB Live yesterday but you can see it here on YouTube now too.

It features the Whimsy & Wonder DSP, Merriest Moments stamp set, Iridescent Snowflakes, Basic Border and Tailor Made Tags dies.

They're tri-fold pocket cards made with a 5 1/2" X 12" piece of Designer Paper.  I used the Whimsy & Wonder specialty paper seen here.

Here's the inside view of the pink card on the top left.  I love how it shows off both sides of the Designer paper.

They feature multiple tags and a pocket for either a tag, gift card or photo!

The Basic Border and Tailor Made tags are discounted through Thursday, November 18th.

  • Basic Border dies seen here were $29 and are now $23.20
  • Tailor Made Tag dies seen here were $22 and are now just $17.60

The belly band slides off along with the snowflake & tags/ribbon so you can open it up to reveal the pretty inside:

And below is the video; it's the second project I share on this FB Live replay!

  • You’ll love this easy sketch idea for a quick & pretty card

On last week's Live video I focused on the pretty Mediterranean Blooms designer paper and this pretty color combination:

My colors include Lemon Lolly, Night of Navy, White & a touch of green in the pretty Mediterranean Blooms DSP.  It's on sale for a few more days! See it here.

    The card base is 4 1/4"X 11" scored at 5 1/2". The Lemon Lolly is 4" X 5 1/4", DSP is 2" X 5 1/4", Navy strip 1/4" X 5 1/4"

Each month in my Flowerbug's Team we have an optional challenge that features a sketch of color combination. This is the current sketch and it inspired me to create this pretty card.

Card sketches are drawings or images that can help inspire your creativity. They're a starting point. Use the basic design and change it any way you'd like.

The greeting is from the Nested Essential dies seen here.  The pretty embossing folder on the Lemon Lolly layer is called Dashing Designs and can be seen here.

Below is a video where I share a few more ideas for this DSP and the Citrus Blooms dies.

  • A Pretty Diamond Fold card with free project sheet & video tutorial

This card fold looks a bit tricky but it is super easy to make!

It features the beautiful Mediterranean Blooms designer paper. My colors include Lemon Lolly, Night of Navy & White.

    This card starts out at 11" X 4 1/4"; score at 5 1/2" & 8 7/8".

How did I get that square to pop up on the end?  Watch the video to see!  But basically you trim off the outer corners from the scored and folded end.

I fussy cut the lemon bunch from the designer paper. The Citrus Blooms bundle coordinates with this pretty DSP but I didn't use them here.  The greetings are from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set.

    Here's the inside view:

I created a free project sheet for this card; click on this link to download or print it: Download Mediterranean Blooms Diamond Flap fold

Below is the video tutorial for this card and I share a few more ideas for this DSP and the Citrus Blooms dies.

  • Potions & Spells swap cards for Halloween inspiration

Today I'm sharing two fun cards made by my Flowerbug's team. They both feature the new Potions & Spells bundle seen here in the online store.

Robin made this first one; she's a master at sponging.

Don't you love her sponged background? She placed a post-it circle onto her White CS before sponging, creating the moon, which is a great place to add the sentiment. It shows off the die-cut cauldron wonderfully.

Click on the photo below to see it in the store.  Look at the neat die-cuts and images in this bundle:

Next is a card made by Paula who also used this neat bundle.

Her colors include Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Black and Gold.

Notice the neat texture of the cauldron. She inked the embossing folder before texturing it.

Here's a list of the products she used:

    • So Swirly embossing folder
    • Sketched Plaid background stamp seen here
    • Exposed Brick embossing folder
    • Wink of Stella on the bubbles & oozing slime

And look how the cauldron opens!!

She scored her card stock before die-cutting so it would have an opening.  So cool!!

I'll share more Team swaps next week.
