Easiest Shaker card you’ll ever make!

Giving an interactive card makes the card extra special like shakers, spinners or fun folds.  But they can be time consuming or a lot of work.  

Touch of Ink shaker Save

I used the free 'A Touch of Ink' stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  You can see it here.  That background was made with our Blending Brushes and Bermuda Bay & Calypso Coral ink.

A TOUCH OF INK PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET (ENGLISH) Save

This type of shaker card is truly easy; really!  Besides the stamped element you need three basic things:

  1.  A clear envelope
  2. Strong adhesive
  3. Sequins, beads or tiny punched pieces

Insert your stamped card stock into the clear envelope, fold the excess envelope over to the back and seal with adhesive leaving one end open.  Add your fun filler and seal closed.

The pretty sequins in this card are the Woven Threads sequins in the annual catalog on page 157.

I made a video in December on making one of these shaker cards.  Even though it's a Christmas card it's the same technique. Here it is:

  • Unique Silver & Gold Designer Paper technique ideas with video!

    I played with the Silver & Gold Designer Series Paper on this week's FB Live and this is one of my favorite projects: 

    Silver & gold Stack & Cut Save

    My goal was to share different ways to add color to this pretty metallic themed paper.  for this card I used our Water Brushes and our 2022-24 In Color ink.  I filled the water brush with water, using the largest brush, added a wash of four of the five colors.  

    This card layout is one referred to as the Stack & Cut technique.  You start out with at least 2 pieces of Designer Paper measuring 3 3/4" X 5" and cut using the template below.  It's so easy and is a fabulous way to showcase your designer paper.

  • CUTE Butterfly Kisses Card Kit to go or Tutorial

    I chose to feature the Butterfly Kisses designer paper for one of my August card kits to go.  It's so colorful & bright!

    I created 2 each of 5 different cards; a few are special fun fold designs.  I find it quite enjoyable to create when I gather products that 'work' together so easily.  I let the colors in the DSP guide me and added Starry Sky ribbon & Fun Flowers resin shapes for accents.
