Easel Calendar with a post-it note box; a fabulous gift idea

I love these Easel calendars; they're a great gift and actually fun to make too.  I was inspired by my friend Melissa's project; see it here.  

Rainbow of Happiness Sunshine & Rainbow calendar Save

Easel Calendar card measurements

  • Card base 4 ¼” X 11” scored at 5 ½”.
  • Easel 4” X 4” scored at ½”, 2” & 3 ½”
  • DSP 4” X 5 ¼” (or 3 1/2" X 5 1/4" on the above project)
  • Note box 4” X 5 1/8” scored at 3/8” on the short side.  On the long side score at 2 3/8” & 2 ¾”

Rainbow of Happiness Sunshine & Rainbow calendar Save

Here are some details:

  • The unique scallop edges & cute tag are both made with the Brilliant Rainbow dies – it's part of the Rainbow of Happiness bundle. 
  • The large clouds are punched with our new Cloud Punch. One is punched from the Supple Shimmer specialty paper and the other from the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP/ It's free during our Sale-a-Bration promotion. See it here. 
  • The bright striped paper is also from our Sunshine & Rainbows DSP
  • The card stock colors are Bermuda Bay & Melon Mambo
  • The calendars were purchased from Taylored Expressions.

Totally different looks from the same Friendly Hello designer paper.  You can go soft or bold with it! 

On the top right I added the stamped image from the Friendly Hello stamp set (part of the free bundle during SAB) and on the top left I added a few die-cuts from the Tropical Layers dies seen here.  I think they coordinate wonderfully.

  • New: Vine Design Dutch Door fold card

    I made several cards for online swaps featuring products in the upcoming 2021 Spring & Sale-a-Bration catalog.  This pretty fun fold card was one of them.  I gravitate towards anything with leaves or vines so I knew I'd like this set called Vine Design.

    The colors here are Night of Navy, Seaside Spray & Old Olive with White. I used my Stamparatus for the vine image; it's so perfect for multiple cards!  Perfect inking and placement each time. 

    See that greeting & layered ovals?  We have a new   DOUBLE OVAL PUNCH!!!  I'm so excited about this one.  I've missed out oval punches so much and now both are in one!

    Supplies:

    • Stamps – Vine  Design (2021 Spring Catalog)
    • Ink – Old Olive, Navy, Seaside Spray
    • CS -  Old Olive, Navy, Seaside Spray, Whisper White

  • Retro Circles layout with a quick video. So unique & versatile!

    I hope you had a nice Christmas weekend!  We sure did.  It's one of my favorite times of the year; one time where all of my kids are home and we're all together. 

    Here's another card we made at my December card clubs.  It was such a hit on Facebook Live Stamp with Me that I had to do it at Club too.  It's a great way to show off your designer paper with this retro style.  Scroll down to see the video. 

    Dec Retro Circles Club[1] Save

    You just need three circles of different sizes.  I used the Stitched Shapes dies so they have the extra detail of stitches on the edges.  I use these dies so much!  If you don't have them I highly recommend them. See them here. 

    I used the Brightly Gleaming specialty DSP here and instead of the copper foiled side I used the other side which has Navy, Mossy Meadow & Island Indigo.

    The stamped images are from the Itty Bitty Birthday & Lots to Celebrate stamp sets.  Just one ink color; Night of Navy.

    The above cards were made with various designer papers & stamp sets.  The top is Classic Christmas, left is Heartwarming Hugs and right is Snowflake Splendor. 

    Measurements:

    • Main card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • Neutral (White or Vanilla) is 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
    • Greeting strip is 1/2" X 5" 
    • Circles are the largest three stitched circle dies 1 3/4", 2 3/8" & 2 7/8"

  • Let it Snow?! Are you having a White Christmas?

    Merry Christmas everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your Holiday today and that you are able to spend time with some of your favorite people. This year is so unusual and difficult for many who are isolated.  I wish you the best and thank you for your support this past year.  

    We did just get snow this week; very unusual for us in North Dakota!  So it's a white Christmas after all.  

    Here are two of my favorite wintery cards featuring my Life is Beautiful stamp set.

    Snowman Save

    The card above is Seaside Spray with Black & White.  The stamp set is Snowman Season in the Annual Catalog. 

    Snowflake Splendor card Save

    This card is made with the Snowflake Splendor designer paper.  Ink colors are black, Balmy Blue & Highland Heather. The DSP is retiring in a week or so and it's on sale here. 

    Snowman Save

    This card is very similar to the one above only made with Early Espresso & Balmy Blue.
