Double-Decker fun fold card with video tutorial and free project sheet

Here's the second card we made at my September card clubs. It's a 'Double-Decker' fun fold card.

For the circle die-cuts I chose to use both Stylish Shapes for the Vanilla circles and Deckled circle dies for the Early Espresso circle.  The die-cuts in Vanilla & Copper Clay are from the Magical Meadow dies.

The greetings are from one of my favorite stamp sets in the Holiday catalog – So Sincere.

A double-decker card is where the center layer is popped up by a small box attached to the inside, back of the card like this.

Autumn Leaves doubledecker Save

You need to adhere the back layer before adding this box. Then you top it with your center layer; for my version it's a piece of designer paper.

I added a second circle to the inside designer paper layer for signing.  But one of my smart customers thought of adding it to the back so it doesn't cover up any of the pretty paper. A great idea!

  • Stunning cards in the Full of Charm card kit to go; reserve yours now!

    I created these gorgeous, colorful cards from the Full of Charm Paper Pumpkin refill kit.

    The card kit includes the refill kit, gems, assorted pre-cut pieces, 12 envelopes and a spool of iridescent ribbon. I used the printed floral stencils in the kit along with blending brushes to create some of the pretty backgrounds.

    You will need the following to complete the cards: greeting stamps, Mossy Meadow & Peach Pie ink, blending brushes or sponges, Paper Trimmer, scissors and adhesives.

    I have a limited number of kits available; reserve yours here. It’s $30 and includes the PDF tutorial which is sent via email immediately after purchase. The kit is mailed at the end of the month (February).

    4 of the 5 layouts are fun folds. Each one shows you a special way to use this pretty designer paper. With it’s pretty color combinations they’re sure winners!

    You can choose from the pre-cut kit to go or the PDF tutorial. Both include the exclusive ‘how to’ video link.

    The pre-cut kit includes the 10 pre-cut cards, a half package (6″ X 12″) of the designer paper, a share of Moody dots and Secret Sea ribbon.     I had to feature the Nature Walk designer paper for a card kit & tutorial. It’s just gorgeous with deep, rich prints.

    I paired it with the new Covered in Flowers Accents from the Spring catalog, the retiring butterflies and White Baker’s Twine. See those pretty floral & botanical die-cuts on the cards? That’s the Flower Accents! They come in a large single sheet of thick pre-cut pieces. They’re white but can be colored or textured. They were so fun to use on these cards!
