CUTE Rain or Shine fun-fold card kit to go; or choose the PDF tutorial option

When I saw the Rain or Shine specialty DSP I liked it but I didn't know I'd LOVE it until I played with it this weekend.  I thought it would be mostly for kids with cute animals (critters I call them) but it's so much more!  Each page of the designer paper has glossy accents on one side including rain, flowers, critters and clouds.  It's utterly charming! 

I decided that each card in this kit would be a fancy fold; some are simple and others a bit 'fancy' but they are easy to achieve with my tutorial.  Look at these!

Playing in the Rain all Save

The colors are both soft & bright – I chose to focus on Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive & Mango Melody.  A super fun and unique mix. 

This pre-cut kit to go includes the 10 pre-cut cards & all punched or die-cut elements, 1/2 pkg of the Rain or Shine specialty DSP, a share of White crinkled ribbon and Flat Adhesive-backed pearls. Opt in by March 19th to get the pre-cut kit.  After that date I'll order the product and cut out the kits.  They will be mailed out via Priority Mail at the end of March, barring any back orders. *The PDF tutorial is sent to you via email from my Shop.

You will need a paper trimmer (to cut your new DSP), adhesives, greeting images and Olive, Flirty Flamingo & Balmy blue ink pads.  I used the Playing in the Rain & Framed Occasions stamp sets for greetings but you can substitute others if needed.

  • Beautiful cards with the new Perched in a Tree bundle!

    This bundle was one of my first purchases from the new 2022 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.  I love this birch tree die-cut and made a bunch of these cards for an online swap last month.

    It creates a pretty window of birch trees that can be the star of the card.  I simply sponged a bit of Crumb Cake ink over a few areas and added it to a Pool Party layer. The greeting is also from this bundle and is stamped on a die-cut from the All That dies in the Annual catalog. The angled Soft Suede die-cut behind it is also from the Aspen dies in this bundle.

    PERCHED IN A TREE BUNDLE (ENGLISH) Save

    My friend Susie Wood sent me this gorgeous card last week.  She created a fall themed card with Crumb Cake & Cajun Craze.  I LOVE her multicolored leaf! She inked it in a lighter color and sponged Cajun Craze over the upper edges before stamping and fussy cutting it. It and the greeting are both from the Soft Seedlings stamp set seen here.

  • Last of the Men’s card series today!

    Have you been enjoying my week of 'masculine' cards?  With today's cards I've shared 16 ideas for the men in our lives!  If you haven't seen them all you have a few options.  Click on each of the links below.

    The first card today is made by Ginny.  She used our new Masking Paper to create the neat background stripes!

    Her colors are Soft Succulent, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso & Calypso Coral.  She used the 'He's All That' bundle seen here for her stamps & dies.  I love how she die-cut the neat detail dies from her sponged paper!

    This next striking card was made by Marla.  She used the new Ringed with Nature bundle seen here.  It's in our new Holiday catalog and comes with a Tree Rings embossing folder.

    I absolutely love that she used a pop of Poppy Parade cards tock here.  We tend to use muted colors for guys, but many of them love color like women tend to.  

    Her colors include Poppy Parade, Soft Suede, Mint Macaron & White.  I wish you could feel the texture she achieved on her stamped tree ring! And aren't those mushrooms adorable?!

    Her card was inspired by Brian King; her colors by the camping themed sheet in the He's the Man DSP.  She has Early Espresso, Soft Succulent, Crumb Cake & White on her card.
