Cows or Hippos? Your choice!

Here's another adorable card I shared in my video yesterday.  I featured projects with the Hippest Hippos stamp set & Hippo dies.  This time I turned them into cows!  It's so easy to change them up!

I simply left the main body white and added splotches of Black spots here and there.  I colored their faces and bellies in with a Light Petal Pink blends marker.

I used our new Masking Paper to add 'grass' on the lower part of the card.  I used Blending Brushes for this and the sky.

I had left over packets from Club and made a bunch.  I sent them out as thank you cards for online orders.  Did you get one?

Here's a choice for you; which do you prefer?  I shared the lower right card yesterday and changed it up from hippos to cows.  Either works in my opinion!  Get the details in yesterday's post here.

The measurements are listed in the photo below.

And here's the video below; I hope you enjoy it!

  • Woven Textures pop-up Accordion fun fold with video & free project sheet!

    Guess what?!

    There's free shipping this week – Wednesday through Friday on orders over $75!

    ~~~
    I shared these amazing guy cards on last week's video.  They were on of my April card club projects.
    I've shared this fun fold card before but using the Woven Textures and Country Woods DSP put them over the top in my opinion!
    The Father's Day greeting is from the Gone Fishing stamp set.  The hearts are from the Friends for Life dies.
    You can see the inside view of the Father's Day card below. I used the Spring Corners stamp set for accents.
    Here's a close-up of the Birthday version. The star dies are from the Wanted to Say dies seen here.  Love these!  Of course the Nested Essential dies are perfect for the layered greetings here.
    Below is the inside of the birthday card. I used the Layered with Love stamp set for the little presents border.
    There is a 7 1/2" X 1" scored brace that creates the pop-up effect when the card is opened.  Otherwise it lays perfectly flat for mailing and is an A2 size card.
    Here is the free project sheet with measurements, directions, photos and a supplies list. Click on the following link to print or download it.  Download Woven Textures Pop up April 2025
    And here's the video tutorial for this card and one more pretty card:
  • Freestyle Creativity with ephemera & leftovers!
    Have you ever gathered some of your extra die-cuts and layers and just played?  We did this at my Team Meeting this weekend and they loved it!
    I put out lots of extra die-cuts and layers plus the Fully Flowering and Greetings for All ephemera plus the Stripes & Florals cards and envelopes and they had fun making their style of cards.  These are mine:
    Here are each of them below.  The left two include some ephemera and the right two feature dies and greetings I had on hand.
    I found that layering dies and ephemera onto another layer like the white die-cut above or the Lemon Lolly & Black DSP layers below helps anchor them.
    The colors in the Stripes & Florals cards and envelopes are Balmy Blue & Bubble Bath.  Nice soft colors you can accent easily.
    See these pretty cards & envelopes here.
    The cards above & below feature a bunch of dies I had on hand. Above includes Basic Beige and Gold.
    The card below includes Basic Gray & Pretty Peacock.
    I hope you're encouraged to try making cards using your leftovers.
  • 3 new kits by Stampin’ Up! now available in the store
    Stampin' Up! released 3 new kits in their substantial Kit Collection this month.  Two are cards and one is a beautiful bouquet of paper flowers.
    You can find each of these kits and many more on this link.  Even though I am an experienced crafter I love working with kits.  It's a lovely break from thinking and planning.  But if I want to be creative I can still jazz up the kits.
    My favorite is the Paper Bouquet kit.  I ordered two – one for my daughter for Mother's Day.  What a perfect gift!
