Cool technique with the Wink of Stella pen!

There are times I like to color and others that I don't. I came up with this cool technique using the Wink of Stella pen and White Craft ink to highlight my main image.

I pressed a clear block directly onto my White Craft ink pad and used that to pick up the ink with my Wink of Stella pen. You sure don't have to use a clear block but I didn't want to get Wink of Stella in my ink pad. You could use a paper plate or any other non porous surface.

I used Purple Posy, Pool Party and Seaside Spray on the cards below.

Technique tips:

  • Light colored card stock works best here; the White ink can obscure the stamped image on dark card stock.
  • Squeeze out a bit of the Wink of Stella liquid to make a small puddle to mix with the White ink for easier painting.
  • Paint the image once and go back and highlight parts of it if you want more 'lightness'.
  • Black Memento ink works fine to stamp your image
  • This should work nicely on a heat embossed image!
  • You can use the White Craft ink refill instead of an ink pad but a little drop goes a long way!

I also used Versamark to create a background effect on the card base, stamping the main image multiple times. I love how soft a Versamark background is and I don't use it near enough.  This repetitive stamping could be very busy if done in black or a darker color.

Here's the video with 3 different coloring techniques!

  • Adorable Poppin’ By card swaps

Today I'm sharing 3 adorable cards made with the Poppin' By bundle from our latest Online Exclusive release.

Candace made this amazing fun fold card for our May team swap:

She folded her card front into a box and added lots of sponged popcorn and the cute box on the lower front.  Note his sunglasses & shoes!  They're part of the stamps & dies bundle. The corrugated card stock on the front mimics a box so well.

Do you see the window sheet strips on the two pieces of popcorn coming out of the box? They flutter when you move the card. She also added a 'wobble' to the top piece of popcorn.  Love this so much!

Here's the Poppin' By bundle – stamp set & dies.  So cute! See it here:

I received a few cute popcorn cards with my Disney swaps.

This first one is made by Marcia Besecker.  She added so much detail to her card!

Lots of texture and fun details on this one!

Next is an adorable swap card made by Amy Storie.  I love her choice of colors and the fun accents she added to her card.

This bundle is super cute don't you think?

  • Sneak Peek’s of upcoming products plus swaps!

Today I'm sharing swaps from the 2025 Stampin' Up! incentive trip to Orlando, FL.  And, are you ready for some sneak peeks of upcoming products?

Here are the display boards for our card swaps.  We had the choice to participate or not and if we did we could make cards or 3d items.  Cards were 26 count.  I'll share mine soon.

Next is an upcoming kit you'll see in June from our Kit collection. Guess what!?  It's a scrapbook kit!!  I've been begging for this for years!

The photo above shows both cards and scrapbook pages made with this upcoming kit.  It will be available on June 3rd.

Next is a new set of products we'll see in the Holiday catalog in September.  Designer paper, coordinating cards & envelopes and a set of greetings ephemera in gold foil.  These items will definitely be the featured product in one of my kits to go this fall.

And look a this pretty designer paper and stamp & die bundle! It will also be featured in the upcoming Holiday catalog in September.

I'm excited about this bundle because my friend Susie and I are sharing our products so we can both make samples.

Next you'll see the Perfectly Pears suite on a display board.  These pretty products will be one of our new Online Exclusives seen in July.

Demonstrators will be able to pre-order it in June so you'll likely see projects shared with it very soon!

We had to stop in the M & M store in Disney Springs.

I could not resist taking a photo of all of these colors of M & M's!!  Color is my jam! I could have stared at them for a long time!

  • Back from Disney World – the 2024 Stampin’ Up! incentive trip

We had a wonderful time on the Stampin' Up! annual incentive trip to Disney World.  We got home late last night and even though we hoped to have a restful trip we were quite exhausted. These North Dakotans were not ready for 96 degree heat!

I'll share a few of our favorite photos today and more of Stampin' Up! products tomorrow.

This is what we saw on the TV screen when we arrived to our room:

Below is the view from our room in the Grand Floridian Resort at Disney World:

This basket was found in our room at the end of the first night there.  A super neat felt basket (that folded flat) filled with some of our favorite snacks & beverages (a survey was sent to us last fall).

The beautiful nightly fireworks we could see from our resort. We spent many evenings at the outdoor cafe visiting with our friends and enjoying them.

I had to get a picture with Sara (SU CEO) with the paper chain background!

Our friends, Dan & Lori Heiling, Susie & Deke Wood and us at Hollywood Studios.

We at at the 50's Primetime Cafe in Hollywood Studios.

    I'll share more photos tomorrow!
