Control Freak’s Blog Hop; Favorite Colors theme!

Welcome to the January Blog Hop from our talented Control Freaks group! Our theme this month is to use our favorite Stampin' Up! color and make it monochromatic!

If you just stopped in from Wendy's blog I'm sure you enjoyed her projects. She is super creative!

I haven't joined a blog hop in awhile and I've missed it! This color theme was perfect for me as my Flowerbug's Team swapped monochromatic cards last week. I've been sharing them here all week long.

My first card features a new stamp set called Crane of Fortune.

I chose to feature Misty Moonlight with Night of Navy & White. The Crane of Fortune stamp set is new in our Stampin' Up! January-June catalog. It's a Distinktive stamp set which means you get multiple hues of color with one inking. These are my favorite type of stamps. Look how pretty the images are in one color and so easy too!

After I stamped the crane I textured it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.

This card is a very simple fun fold. Here are the measurements:

Score your 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4"
Misty Moonlight layer 1 7/8" X 5 1/4"
White layers are 3 1/4" X 4 1/2"
Navy layer is 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"

I stamped some of the dragonflies on the front layer of Misty Moonlight. I used White Craft ink for a soft, subtle effect. As you can see I made quite a few of them for our Team swap!

Next is a pretty card in Soft Succulent & White.

I used the new Artfully Layered stamp set along with the Stitched Rectangle dies. This technique is called Triple Time Stamping.

To achieve this layered effect I stamped all three of the White layers at the same time. Then you adhere each piece to a Soft Succulent layer and put the pieces back together; almost like a puzzle. It's a great way to create quick, eye catching cards.

Measurements:

Soft Succulent – 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base, 4 1/8" X 2 7/8" & 3" X 1 5/8"
White – 5 1/4" X 4", 4" X 2 5/8" & 2 3/4" X 1 3/8"

CUTE Zoo Crew cards

Continuing on to share another adorable swap card made by Candy. She used the Zoo Crew bundle. I love her primary, happy colors!

Details:
- She used Night of Navy, Real Red & Granny Apple Green
- the embossing folder is called Merry Melody 3D
- the stitching on the Red square is from the Stitched with Whimsy dies seen here
- The ribbon is the Navy bordered 3/8" and the greetings are from the Double Oval punch

Here's one I made when I was preparing samples for my new catalog open house event:

I simply used a few pieces of the Zoo Crew designer paper and added a stamped flag greeting with twine on a long strip of Lost Lagoon. Cute & Quick!

Forever Friends kit; a beautiful set of foil accented cards & envelopes

Two weeks ago I had time to create at a stamping get together at our church. I took 3 kits and make them in about an hour and a half. Stress free and fun! I love using our kits because I have everything I need to make the cards; I simply need adhesives and a bone folder.!

And here are the finished cards! I did change up the greetings because I needed a bunch of thank you cards. I kept the kit mostly as is since they were so pretty as designed.

This kit is called Forever Friends and can be seen here. It's $21 and includes everything you need to create 9 cards with coordinating envelopes like stamps, a block, ink, embellishments & more.

Each kit includes pre-cut pieces and printed images. Some kits include stamps, ink and a block. Others do not and are ready to finish without any stamping. You can choose what fits your needs.

Beautiful Balloons card swaps

This week I've been sharing card swaps made by my Flowerbug's Team. Our swap theme for May was to use new products from the 2023-24 Annual Catalog.

This colorful, birthday card was made by Sharon. It's full of texture, patterns and is also a simple fun fold.

She trimmed off an inch from the right side of her card front to reveal the neat fringe die-cut on the inside of the card. The pattern paper is from the Bright & Beautiful 6 X 6" paper seen here.

More details:
- Colors include Boho Blue, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist & Blueberry Bushel.
- The balloons & greeting are die-cuts from the Beautiful Balloons bundle
- The texture on the card front is made with the Basics 3D 3 pack of embossing folders seen here. They're part of our Online Exclusives.
