Colorful Autumn Trees card with a baby wipe technique

Fall is in the air here in North Dakota.  Look at this gorgeous & colorful autumn tree!

It’s made with the new Autumn Trees bundle seen here.  Here’s how I did the tree:

  1. I stamped the tree onto Crumb Cake card stock using Crumb Cake ink.
  2. Then die-cut it with the tree die from the bundle.
  3. Next I inked up a baby wipe with fall colors of Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze.  I rolled it up and pressed it onto the tree die-cut repeatedly.
  4. Lastly I used a Crumb Cake Blends marker to add more detail to the trunk.

I used the Birch Wood embossing folder on the Vanilla background and lightly blended Cajun Craze ink over it.  The greeting is from the More Messages bundle.

Thanks for stopping in today!

  • Incredible Sweet Citrus projects; part 2

Continuing on from yesterday's post seen here, I'm sharing more of Karen's 'Artist of the Month' projects. She chose the Sweet Citrus stamp set & dies.

Each month one of my Flowerbug's team members takes a turn (voluntarily of course!) to feature a bundle, sharing their projects.  They keep the bundle (free!) and I get the projects to share with all of you.

Her first card features limes, using Parakeet Party.  I believe her 'rind' is Garden Green.

She also made these two adorable candy boxes.

The one below is filled with lemon candies; so perfect for this stamp set.

This second box is for Orange Tic Tacs.  It fits in there so perfectly!

I know she found the pattern online but I don't have the link. It opens from the front and is tied closed with twine.

And lastly is a super cute fun fold featuring coconuts! Yes; you can create coconuts with the Sweet Citrus stamps!

She stamped the coconuts in brown ink on White card stock and colored in the centers with Gray Granite ink using a water painter, leaving the white coconut ring.

She used the Delicate Desert DSP from the Spring catalog; it has retired now however.

It's a bit too much to share measurements here so I'll plan to create a card like this on a future video.

You can see the Sweet Citrus stamp set here.  And the Sweet Citrus Hybrid embossing folder and dies here.

Here is a photo of all of her gorgeous cards:

  • Incredible Sweet Citrus cards by Karen – lots of ‘Wow’s’!

Karen was our Team Artist of the Month in April and she knocked it out of the park! I cannot believe I haven't shared them yet….. She chose the Sweet Citrus stamp set, Hybrid embossing folder & dies.  Look at these gorgeous cards!

Her colors are Parakeet Party & Tahitian Tide.  Love those limes and the turquoise leaves.

The card above features Mango Melody with Polished Pink; these colors have since retired. That striped paper was a host paper in the last catalog.  The white edge die-cut is from the Basic Borders dies.

LOVE these bright colors with Starry Sky!  Daffodil Delight & Granny Apple green.  Those vellum leaves and sprigs are a wonderful accent (from the Bough punch).

this last card features Pumpkin Pie with Parakeet Party, Shaded Spruce and Daffodil. She called this card 'Fruit Salad' since it combines many of the fruits she used in other cards.

You can see the Sweet Citrus stamp set here.  And the Sweet Citrus Hybrid embossing folder and dies here.

I'll share more of her cards tomorrow.

  • Lasting Joy card swaps

Sharing a few more card swaps I received recently, this time using the Lasting Joy stamp set.

This first card was made with the Countryside Inn designer paper and the Contour Scallops dies.

The card measures 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4". Colors include Night of Navy & Boho Blue.  I do not have the name of the creator of this card; sometimes the name gets lost if they add a business card instead of a sticky note in the back.

Here's a photo of the Lasting Joy stamp set.  Gorgeous greetings and a few extra images for embellishing.

This next card uses the same Lasting Joy stamp set but in Fresh Freesia and bubble Bath colors.

Evie DiPiazza made this card; she used the Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper and the Elegant Borders dies for that pretty die-cut edge.  Here's a link to these dies.
