Marvelous Nature Ombre technique with video tutorial

Today I'm sharing the other card I made during Tuesday's video. Both featured the new set called Marvelous Nature.

I used an ombre technique where I inked the solid stamped image with three inks consecutively. The top is Pool Party, the middle is Lost Lagoon and the bottom is Pretty Peacock.

The greeting is from the set but I did use the Stylish Shapes dies for it and popped it up on Dimensionals.

The card base is Lost Lagoon with two strips of Pretty Peacock under the main image. As you can see by the photo below the left card is lighter than the right one. In the video I went over the upper part of the image one more time using the Stamparatus; mostly so I could get a more solid, complete image.

More Team Swaps include multiple ‘WOW’ cards!

Every month our Flowerbug's Team has an optional card swap and I always think it's the best group of cards ever. Then another month comes and they get even better! How is it possible?!

This first card today features the Brightest Beauty bundle seen here. It's in our Holiday catalog and has been on my wish list for awhile. I think she pushed me over the edge with her card!

Her colors include Old Olive & Crushed Curry with White. I LOVE the frame she made with the Fabulous Frames dies! The rest of the dies are from the Brightest Beauty bundle. That stamped background behind the frame and the main image are wonderful together. The plain white behind the pretty flower & leaves really show the stamped image off. And that greeting die!

Next is an amazing card made by Candace. She is the expert at sponging backgrounds. Always so smooth and blended.

Who would think of adding a Hippo to Snowflakes?!! But it works perfectly.

Details:
- Colors include Gorgeous Grape, White, Highland Heather & Pacific Point
- The Hippo is from the Hippest Hippos stamp set & dies from our Sale-a-Bration promotion.
- The snowflake frame is from the Snowman dies & the Red & White glimmer paper
- The embossing folder is from the Wintry duo in the Annual catalog
- She achieved her beautiful background by using Blending Brushes.
- The pretty 'iridescent' snowflake is from our Wonderful Snowflakes seen here
- She printed the greetings on White card stock using her printer!

Next is a simple yet beautiful card made by Annette. She let the Twigs & Sprigs embossing folder take the prime spot on her card. This folder comes in a bundle with dies seen here.

Her colors are Old Olive with Very Vanilla. The greeting is from the Color & Contour bundle. The offset circles add a playful touch.

Next is a pretty card made by Laura. She featured the Wonderful You Designer Paper which is part of the Wonderful You stamp set & designer paper bundle seen here. They're both free with a $100 Stampin' Up! order in August.

She used the Stylish Shapes stitched square dies to cut the flowers out of the designer paper. No stamping needed!

Rings of Love Triple Panel card with video & measurements

Here's one more card I made during last week's FB Live with the free Rings of Love designer paper in our Sale-a-Bration offering.

I cut a 3 1/4" X 3" piece of the designer paper and then cut it into three 1" strips. I then layered it onto three strips of Evening Evergreen CS.

I textured the Crumb Cake layer with the Timber embossing folder – it's also a new Free Sale-a-Bration choice in August; with any $50 Stampin' Up! order.

I love how the three panels create a 'scene', making the DSP the star of the card. See the Rings of Love DSP here.

- Poppy Parade 5 ½”X 8 ½”
- White is 5 ¼” X 4”, Crumb Cake 5” X 3 ¾”
- Evergreen is 5 1/8” X 3 7/8”, DSP is 1” X 3 ¼”
