Card ideas for the Box & Cards; free project sheet with video tutorial

I shared this beautiful box with cards on yesterday’s blog post. You’ll see it in the video and project sheet below too. Today I’ll focus on the cards included in the pretty box.

The featured products include the Lovely Blossoms suite. This card box can fit up to 6 cards with envelopes inside. It’s super easy to make too! It’s included in the free project sheet seen below.

For these cards I used the Lovely Arrangements bundle seen here. And the Lovely Blossoms designer series paper seen here.

This first card is a fun fold card; quite unique!

It doesn’t look much different from the front. The colors include Cloud Cover, Secret Sea, Old Olive & White. Here’s a photo of it open:

The White inside layer has two extra folds in it. There’s a narrow flap adhered to the card front that let’s it open in an unusual way. The measurements are in the free project sheet below.

This next card is deceptively simple; but I added a simple trick to layering the DSP on the front:

The main image is from the Lovely Blossoms DSP. This DSP includes multiple printed elements perfect to make the focus of the card. It’s the printed Olive DSP under it I want to call your attention to. Both pieces measure 3″ X 4″. I cut the Olive DSP in half on the diagonal and added that as a layer to the flower layer. Quick and easy but unique. Instead of the traditional even layers this adds interest to your card.

Lastly is a card that shows off a special die-cut in the Lovely Arrangements bundle:

It’s Petal Pink with Secret Sea and White. That multiple circles die is so cool! It truly adds some playfulness to the card. The greeting is stamped on a circle die-cut from the Spotlight on Nature dies seen here.

My free project sheet includes these 3 cards plus the template and instructions for the card box as well. Click here to download or print it.

Below is the video tutorial for the box and tips on assembling the fun fold card at the top. Don’t forget to follow me on my YouTube Channel here or my Facebook Page here.

  • Two gorgeous cards with the Two-Tone Floral bundle with video

Here are a few more of the cards I shared in last week's FB Live that featured the Two-Tone Floral suite seen here. Click here to watch the video.

This first card shows off the large, gorgeous detailed die in the Two-Tone Floral dies.  Can you see the shimmery paper under it?

That pretty Gold paper is part of the Fine Shimmer Specialty paper in the Spring catalog.  It has 2 each of 3 colors including Gold, Soft Succulent & Fresh Freesia.  See it here.

I stamped a few flowers and leaves from the bundle and die-cut them out with the coordinating dies.  Then I added a 1" strip of Soft Succulent to anchor the flowers and the die-cut greeting onto.  The greeting is from the Framed Florets stamp set.

Below is a photo of the bundle; it's a 2-step stamp set which means there are two images that match and are meant to be stamped over each other.  One is a solid image and the other is a detailed image.  You can stamp both with the same ink, the solid in a lighter hue (stamp off once first) and the detailed image over it without stamping off.

Some people stamp the solid image first and add the detailed over it.  I found it easier to stamp the detailed first as it's a darker ink and more difficult to see through.  Try it both ways to see what works for you.

This pretty bundle qualifies you to receive a free Sale-a-Bration choice if purchased during February. See all of the choices here.

Next is a gorgeous card featuring this same bundle but also adding in the Fancy Flora DSP. See it here The patterns remind me of palette painting and the color combos are amazing!  The Stampin' Up! artists are incredibly talented.

I added a bit of the new Navy Bordered ribbon from the Spring catalog and a stitched circle die-cut from the Stylish Shapes dies.  These dies are so popular they cannot keep them in stock.  They are currently in low inventory 'again'!

  • In the Country with a split scene technique

They've updated the Clearance Rack with more products!  Including stamp sets!  But beware that many are in French.  Be sure you get English if you want it. See it all here.

I made this pretty card using the In the Country stamp set from our Sale-a-Bration promotion.  It's called a Triptych layout. It's a great way to showcase a detailed stamp set.

I stamped the image in Black Memento ink using the Stamparatus and colored the image in with our Watercolor Pencils.

One thing I always use with our Watercolor Pencils is the Blender pen.  It smooths out all of your penciled lines so easily. See it here.

The card base is Coastal Cabana and I added a Black layer and a simple Black strip across and under it. Simple but it sure shows off the pretty scene.

You can see the In the Country stamp set here; it's free with any $50 purchase.

  • Two-Tone Flora card with more ideas in the video

Here's a pretty card I shared on a recent Facebook Live.  It features the Two-Tone flora bundle seen here.

My colors include Daffodil Delight, Soft Succulent and Orchid Oasis. I kept this card very simple to show off the beautiful detail in the flowers.

The greeting is from the Framed Florets stamp set seen here.

I used Very Vanilla to stamp on as I haven't used it much lately.  It's a softer feel than White.  Does your Vanilla need some love too?

I hope you're inspired by this fun technique.  Click on the photo below to watch the video and see more cards with this bundle.
