  • Splendid Day cards with an easy background technique; video too.

Check out this pretty card using the Splendid Thoughts bundle.  I shared how to make it in a recent Live video seen here.

I think the Brick background is so pretty with the die-cuts.  I used the 'Direct to Paper' technique.  I used the Brick Wall embossing folder on the Calypso Coral CS and then used an open White Craft ink pad to lightly brush ink onto the textured CS.  I purposely keep my White Craft ink less inked than desired because I love doing this!  If yours is well inked you may want to use a sponge instead.

The colors include White, Calypso Coral, Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink.  The Splendid Day Specialty designer paper is gorgeous and full of Foil & Copper accents on one side and subtle prints on the other.  Here's what the entire suite looks like.  It will be available tomorrow, July 1st.

I stamped a few of the die-cuts and the greeting in Smoky Slate ink.  I fussy cut the greeting and added it to the curved 'half circle' die-cut over the ribbon.  I'll share more Splendid Thoughts projects tomorrow.

  • Thursday is the last day; crazy Kits Collection BOGO deals!

Have you tried any of our current Kit Collection kits yet?  Check them out here ASAP. Tomorrow is the last day of the BOGO promotion.

I demo'd them on last week's Live so you could see how wonderful they are.  Click here to watch.

    How does the BOGO work?

It's quite unusual in that the second kit at 50% off can be the more expensive one.

Such as; buy one for $12 and get a second kit at $20-25 at half off!  Crazy but true!

The first kit I'm sharing is the Light the Candles kit seen here.  It includes everything you need to complete these 8 cards.

I love how bright & colorful this kit is and the dimensional strips are easy to use.  The cute glittery prints are quite eye catching.

These kits are 'all inclusive' which means everything is supplied for you.  Many include the ink and stamps and others have pre-printed sentiments with no stamping needed. There's something for every taste or need.  Click here to see them all.

The Robot Buddies kit is perfect for kids.  It has a neat robot stamp set in it and includes TWO ink spots! too.

My colors include Mossy Meadow, Polished Pink & Balmy Blue.  The pretty die-cut flowers are all from the Awash in Beauty designer paper.  The Organic Beauty dies are designed perfectly to match the DSP!  The only stamping I did here are the two greetings; all of the flowers are die-cut from either card stock or DSP.

Do you see the little bit of color on the Pink blossom die-cut?  I used Wink of Stella and my White craft ink to add color. Watch the video below to see how.
