Best Tips for successful Shaker Cards with video tutorial!

Who wouldn't like to receive a shaker card?!  They're fun, shakable and hard to resist playing with.

I made a bunch of these for our July Team card swap featuring 'window sheets'. I love the fact that I could get multiple, colorful die-cut flowers with the Extraordinary Floral Washi Tape and the coordinating die-cut. Just add it to another piece of cardstock and die-cut. So fast & EASY!

Notice the sponged green designer paper above. That is the Irresistible Designs 12" DSP seen here.  I added Olive ink to it with a Blending Brush; the printed embossed designs 'resist' the ink.  Pretty cool!

I used the Paper Tags stamp set – stamping the greeting directly onto the window sheet with Black Stazon ink. Then I turned it over to add a bit of Flirty Flamingo blends marker on the 'celebrate' part.

My colors include Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive and White for a fresh floral card design. Want to know the steps to achieve a shaker card?  Best to grab the free project sheet below or watch the video tutorial.

  • Glow of Harvest Standing Easel card with free project sheet & video

Here’s the pretty card I shared on last week’s video; I love this neat fun fold layout!

It really shows off your designer paper and stands up nicely on the extra card stock added.
Here’s another view of this gorgeous specialty paper:

My colors include Golden Glow, Pecan Pie and White. That pretty fall paper is the 12″ Glow of Harvest specialty paper – it’s currently available for just $5 with any order over $75. This shimmery paper was our Product of the Month in September and available while supplies last. See it here.

I fussy cut the leaves and pumpkins from the DSP and added them onto the textured card front. This is the Rustic Check 3D embossing folder seen here.

This die-cut frame is from the Frames and Phrases dies seen here. The striped specialty paper is called Radiant Foils.

I created a free project sheet for this card. Click here to print or download it.

This card has two folded card bases attached to each other which allows for the standing easel and an inside area to write on.

Below is the video tutorial for this card layout. I hope you watch it. I also share all of my newest kits to go & tutorials for October too.

  • Cozy Christmas card kit to go; reserve yours now!

I had fun creating these fantastic Christmas cards with a former Paper Pumpkin kit from last year. I have a limited quantity of these available this month in a kit to go.

There are 12 cards with envelopes in this kit. I was able to change the kit from 9 to 12 cards. There are so many fantastic die-cut elements included in this one.

This kit includes the pre-cut kit, envelopes, adhesives and gems. You will need a few greetings, inks and embossing folders if you choose to make them like I did.

See it here in my store. It’s $31 plus shipping. The PDF tutorial is $17 and is seen here. The tutorial is emailed to you immediately after payment. The pre-cut kit is mailed out at the end of October.

Remember that if you order more than one kit shipping is combines and you’ll save $$.

    See them all here.
