Misty Trees Beauty of Friendship card

With each new catalog I always join several card swaps so I have lots of samples to share with my customers.

Here's one I created featuring the Beauty of Friendship Bundle.

The colors are the new In Colors of course; Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. The background stamping is made by stamping the trees several times without reinking. This gives you several hues/generations of ink which creates a misty, grouping of trees. I love this effect with a 'naked' tree! It reminds me of my Father-in-Law who loved naked trees.

Other details:

The greeting is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a 1" strip of our Vellum card stock. I immediately heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Classic (or waterbase) ink does not dry quickly on vellum so you get colored, embossing easily.
The vellum was cut long enough to wrap around the outside edge and adhere to the back side.
The dark tree was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on White CS and die-cut with the Beautiful Trees dies.

Another Positive thoughts card; in a unique color combination

I have no idea where I came up with this color combination. I started out with the Petal Pink because I wanted to use the gorgeous champagne edged ribbon. Maybe I was avoiding green; but the Basic Gray looks beautiful with the Petal Pink!

Yesterday I shared one version of this card and here is the other. I had extra background pieces stamped so I tried something else.

Sending Positive Thoughts; love this new stamp set!

This Positive Thoughts stamp set seems to be a 'sleeper' to some people but it caught my eye right away! Everyone asked where the stamp set was when they saw my cards.

I knew I could make pretty cards with the images; the leaves, flower and feather are perfect with lots of fine details. But the greetings; they are some I will definitely get a lot of use of.

This soft, botanical card is one I made for an online swap I participated in. I used Mint Macaron, Pretty Peacock and of course the pretty Petal Pink. The new champagne rhinestones and Petal Pink/Champagne ribbon was color inspiration.
