Beautiful Embossed card swaps with foil accents

Our Team swap theme was to use foil or heat embossing on our cards. This was a fun theme that is especially easy around the holidays.

Today I’m sharing Jonna’s stunning card in Black, Silver & White:

It’s a ‘Wow’ card for sure! She textured the Basic Gray card layer with the Sunflower 3D embossing folder seen here first and then rubbed it with Versamark ink. Then she heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder. Just gorgeous!

Her measurements are as follows:
– Embossed layer 3 1/2″ square
– Black layer 3 3/4″ square, Black greeting layer 3 3/4″ X 1 1/4″
– White is 4″ X 5 1/4″, White greeting layer is 3 1/2″ X 1″

The greeting is from the Branching Out stamp set.

The other kit I created this month is also easy but does require stamped greetings. But there is very little prep & just a little trimming of the card bases to create these beautiful wintery cards:

I did have trouble getting a good photo of the actual colors on this one. I added Petal Pink/Champagne ribbon and Champagne rhinestones to this one. I cannot resist adding these when I can. They're beautiful!

Pleased as Punch Cards kit to go; bright and springy!

For February I chose to feature the new Pleased as Punch designer paper for my cards kit to go. It's bright and springy and coordinates with 4 of our newest punches! The Tulip, Umbrella, Heart Punch pack and new Blossom punches are the four.

I absolutely love these cards! All of the 5 designs are unique fun fold cards which are always a delight to create and fun for the recipient. Here's a photo of the Pleased as Punch designer paper; available now!

*You do not need to own the punches to complete these cards. They are easy to fussy cut!

I used the following inks: Gorgeous Grape, Balmy Blue and Calypso Coral.

Pleased as Punch fun fold card

I made this card for a recent online swap I participated in. I believe this type of fold is called a 'Joy Fold' card.

The Pool Party piece is folded in half; the bottom part is under the front flap of the White layer. See measurements below.

I chose to use the brand new Pleased as Punch designer paper seen here. It coordinates with FOUR of our current punches – amazing! The two hearts on this card are punched directly from the designer paper.

I love it so much I am featuring it for my February card kit to go. I'll share that with you tomorrow.

- The hearts are punched from the DSP with the Heart Punch Pack
- The ribbon is the White seam binding on page 25 of the January – June Mini catalog
- the sequins are from the free SAB Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins combo pack seen here
