The Arches dies are back in stock! An Arched Wishes easy card idea in a fresh color combo

I created this cute card for a Demo swap I participated in.

The Arched Wishes stamp set coordinates with the Arches dies which are back in stock.  See the stamp set here and the Arches dies here.  

My colors include Petunia Pop with Summer Splash and the new Secret Sea. I love them together!  

This stamp set is super fun and includes great celebration images.

Do you see how it's a bit of a fun fold?  Basically the Secret Sea back is 4 1/4" X 5 1/4" and the Petunia Pop is 4" X 10 1/2" and the card layer that flips up. Score it at 5 1/4" and add to the larger layer.  

Technique Tip: If you're wondering how I colored the cupcake I used designer series paper for both the liner and the frosting. This is called paper piecing – where you stamp the image onto DSP and fussy cut it out.

Check out the confetti on the frosting.  I used the Loose Shaker elements seen here. Simply add a tiny dot of liquid glue and drop the sparkle on top!

  • Fabulous Gone Fishing bundle swap cards

    Father's Day is coming up Sunday and the Gone Fishing bundle is perfect for the occasion.  

    I received two swap cards on the cruise and thought you'd like to see them.  First is my friend Susie Wood's card.  Her style is similar to mine and we often share cards with each other. My husband and I spent time with her and her husband Deke on the cruise; not enough but we both treasure our friendship so much!   • Marvelous Nature Ombre technique with video tutorial

    Today I'm sharing the other card I made during Tuesday's video.  Both featured the new set called Marvelous Nature.

    I used an ombre technique where I inked the solid stamped image with three inks consecutively.  The top is Pool Party, the middle is Lost Lagoon and the bottom is Pretty Peacock.

    The greeting is from the set but I did use the Stylish Shapes dies for it and popped it up on Dimensionals.

    The card base is Lost Lagoon with two strips of Pretty Peacock under the main image.  As you can see by the photo below the left card is lighter than the right one.  In the video I went over the upper part of the image one more time using the Stamparatus; mostly so I could get a more solid, complete image.

  • Pretty Marvelous Nature card with video tutorial & measurements

    I've seen a few projects with the Marvelous Nature set and was intrigued by it's reverse images. And it's nature so I ordered it.  This card was one of two I made on this week's Live video:

    I chose to use Lost Lagoon with Pretty Peacock. I also added some of the Hello, Irresistible designer paper. This pretty DSP is on sale right now too!  See it here.  

    You may also spy the shimmery strip beside the greeting.  This is our Soft Shimmer 12" X 12" paper pack seen here.  It has 5 rich colors in it.
