The Arches dies are back in stock! An Arched Wishes easy card idea in a fresh color combo

I created this cute card for a Demo swap I participated in.

The Arched Wishes stamp set coordinates with the Arches dies which are back in stock.  See the stamp set here and the Arches dies here.  

My colors include Petunia Pop with Summer Splash and the new Secret Sea. I love them together!  

This stamp set is super fun and includes great celebration images.

Do you see how it's a bit of a fun fold?  Basically the Secret Sea back is 4 1/4" X 5 1/4" and the Petunia Pop is 4" X 10 1/2" and the card layer that flips up. Score it at 5 1/4" and add to the larger layer.  

Technique Tip: If you're wondering how I colored the cupcake I used designer series paper for both the liner and the frosting. This is called paper piecing – where you stamp the image onto DSP and fussy cut it out.

Check out the confetti on the frosting.  I used the Loose Shaker elements seen here. Simply add a tiny dot of liquid glue and drop the sparkle on top!

  • Neat Double Decker pop-up card with measurements

    Today I'm sharing a new pop-up fold – at least it's new to me!  It's called a Double Decker pop up. 

    Masterfully Made 5 Save

    Measurements: 

    • White card base 8 ½” X 5 ½” scored at 2 1/8” & 4 ¼”
    • White inside pop-up box – 3 ½” square scored at ¾”, 1 ½”, 2 ¼” and 3”
    • Front textured piece 1 7/8” X 5 ¼”
    • Scalloped White inside die-cut is 3 1/8” X 4 ½”
    • Fresh Freesia is 2 ¾” X 3 ¾”
    • Designer Paper – 2 pieces per card; 2 ½” X 3 ½” & 4” X 5 ¼”

    The inside 'box' that pops up the scalloped rectangle layer is adhered to both the side and back of the card.  It folds flat when mailing but sure adds nice dimension when the card is opened.
