Another way to use the Gorgeous Garden dies in a fun fold card with video tutorial

I shared this beautiful card on a recent video.  I sure had fun with the colors on this card!

It's a double-decker fun fold card.  It might look hard but it sure isn't!  All you need to add is a simple box between the middle layer and the inside back of the card.  Watch the video here to see how it's done.

Using our Blending Brushes I added the three colors (Tahitian Tide, Brilliant Blue & Gorgeous Grape) to a piece of White cardstock.  I then used the Garden dies to die-cut it out.  I adhered this to the back of the card base before adding the 'box' to create the double-decker fun fold card.

I created a second colorful die-cut so I could add extra details to the cards.

Supplies:

  • Basic White & Brilliant Blue card stock
  • Vellum Basics specialty paper seen here
  • Inks – Brilliant Blue, Gorgeous Grape & Tahitian Tide
  • Lasting Joy stamp set seen here
  • Gorgeous Garden dies
  • Basic 3D embossing folders seen here
  • Stylish Shapes dies for the circles
  • Scalloped Contours dies for the scalloped rectangle
  • Blending Brushes

Double-decker card measurements:

  • White card 8 ½” X 5 ½” score at 2 1/8” & 4 ¼”, front textured layer is 1 7/8” X 5 ¼”,
  • White for die-cut 4” X 5 ¼”, Scalloped die-cut 3 1/8” X 4 ½”
  • Box is 3 ½” X 4” – score every ¾”
  • Circle die-cuts – 2 3/4" white & 3" blue

Here are both cards shown in the video below.

I made these cards on a recent video seen here.  Or click on the photo below to watch.

  • Look at these 2 beautiful cards with the Autumn Toile Designer paper

These pretty fall themed cards were made by my talented Flowerbug’s for our September Autumn themed card swap. They both feature the gorgeous Autumn Toile designer series paper from the 2025 Holiday catalog.

This first card was made by Lori and it’s a fun fold card.

Her colors include Pecan Pie, Early Espresso and Vanilla. The stamps are from The Right Words and More Messages sets. Gems are Streaked Dots and the metallic paper for that ‘tree’ die-cut is the Earthen Toned Metallic Paper. Can you see that pretty gold hoop around the tree? Wow!

Here’s the inside view. The tree and deer dies are from the Autumn Trees dies.

    Measurements are:
    – Card base 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ scored at 3 1/4″ & 5 1/4″.
    – DSP on left is 3″ X 5 1/4″, DSP in the center is 1 7/8″ X 5 1/4″
    – Vanilla on the right inside is 3″ X 5 1/4″
    – largest circle is3 7/8″, DSP tree circle is 3 1/4″, Vanilla circle is 3 1/2″

Next is a great card made by Ginny who also used the same exact sheet of paper in the Autumn Toile DSP pack.

Her colors are Early Espresso with Very Vanilla. She stamped the greeting from the Amber Autumn bundle on the oval and added leaves from the Gathering Moments stamp set as well.

    Measurements:
    – card base 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ score at 4 1/4″
    – Vanilla 4″ X 5 1/4″
    – Early Espresso 3 1/2″ X 4 3/4″
    – DSP 3 1/4″ X 4 1/2″

You can see this beautiful autumn paper here. I can see this going out of stock soon. It is one of my top selling products so far in September.

  • Another cute card with the Happy Place stamp set with free project sheet!

I shared one card yesterday and here’s one more. Both are fun ways to add color to this neat stamp.

You can see this neat stamp set here. I love it and see lots of possibilities; especially for scrapbooking!

I chose the Full of Life designer paper for my background here; adding texture with the Waves 3D embossing folder. My colors include Pool Party, Black with Peach & Melon Mambo. I colored the large image in with Watercolor Pencils which I hadn’t used for a long time!

I decided to try a different blue for the left card above – Cloud Cover. The right is Pool Party. Which do you prefer?

I have a free project sheet for you and a video tutorial as well. Click Happy Place with Full of Life DSP on this link for the project sheet you can print or download. I suggest you save these project sheets in a file on your computer for card ideas.

The video is below: It includes more ideas for this fun stamp set too!
