Amazing Let’s Go Fishing projects by Candace, our Artist of the month

I hope you're enjoying the 4th of July today.  We celebrated yesterday and today is a quiet day to catch up on things around the house.

I am excited to show you these projects!  Candace was our Artist of the Month and chose to use the Gone Fishing bundle seen here.  The dies are currently unavailable but should be back in stock any day now.

I will share her projects this week, through Friday.

Here's the first card; it's a special fun fold card with a greeting on a flap. The flap is secured under the DSP strip on the right inside of the card.

I love the added fish and wavy trim she added. Her colors include Calypso Coral, Mossy Meadow and Vanilla.

Measurements:

  • Mossy Meadow card base 7 1/2" X 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4", strip for flap 4" X 1" scored at 1", circle is 3 1/2"
  • Let's Go Fishing DSP 2 3/4" X 5" & 1 1/4" X 5 1/2" inside
  • Calypso Coral 3" X 5 1/4"
  • Vanilla inside 2 3/4" X 5 1/4", circle 2 1/8"

This next card shows off the amazing Gone Fishing dies that are included in the bundle.  Look at the many details – lures & bobbins galore all in the fabulous large frame die-cut that mimics a tackle box.

The colors include Boho Blue, Smoky Slate, Misty Moonlight, Real Red, White and a bit of Calypso Coral and Lemon Lime Twist.

She even added inside stripes using designer paper and card stock, perfect for guys.

You can see the Gone Fishing bundle here.

Next is a fun 'inchie' style card.  She cut out 12 squares of the Let's Go Fishing designer paper seen here and added them to a Misty Moonlight layer.

The squares of designer paper are 1 1/4" each. The Boho Blue layer is 5 1/4" X 4".  She used the Stylish Shapes dies for her greeting.  Love the frayed Natural Wavy trim on the greeting.

Here's what she did with the inside.

Below you can see all of her incredible projects. There's such a variety and I'll share details on each fabulous card in the next few days.

I'll share more of her amazing projects Thursday.  Stop back in!

  • New Catalog Party display pictures!

I held my new catalog party on Saturday showcasing the Spring & Sale-a-Bration products. It was so fun to have my customers/friends stop in to see everything & visit.

Here are a few photos of my displays of new 2023 Spring Catalog products:

Above you can see the Delicate Desert and Enjoy the Journey designer paper. Below is the Country Floral Lane designer paper; wonderful for Valentines.

Above you can also see the Country Gingham 6" designer paper and lots of swaps featuring this Country Floral Lane suite.

I always join a bunch of swaps so I can get a bunch of samples so I can create display boards like this one:

I wish the pictures were a little clearer for you but there was some reflection on the clear envelopes covering each card.

Below are photos of quite a few of our new Designer Paper; the titles of each are shown in the photo.

Below are swap cards featuring the Regency Park Suite seen here; one of my favorites!

Keep in mind I didn't make all of these cards. I did make that 'many' but received different cards back for the swaps I sent in.  I love swapping!!

I'll share more products & swaps featuring Sale-a-Bration tomorrow.

  • Sentimental Park with Country Gingham DSP card swap

I always join a bunch of online swaps with each new catalog.  It's so much easier to make a bunch of one card than it is to make one of several different cards for my display boards.

Here's one I made with the Sentimental Park bundle seen here.

I chose to use the Country Gingham 6 X 6" designer paper pack; it has multiple gingham patterns in just a few colors.  I added White & Blushing Bride to it.

Notice that pretty white die-cut for the greeting; it has attached floral design on opposing corners for some pretty detail. There are two sizes of this type of die in this bundle and one without the side details.  This one fits inside the largest one; the floral detail has slits on the inside to allow the smooth die-cut to fit right in!

The Blushing Bride oval is from the Framed Florets dies. The pretty texture on the White banner is done with the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder seen here; also new in the Spring catalog.

    My measurements are simple:

    • Card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
    • DSP 2" X 4"
    • White banner strip 1 1/4" X 5"

Notice the alternate print I used on some of the swaps below; I love having a few choices in similar patterns.

I'll share some photos of my new catalog party from Saturday later this week.  Stop back in!
