A fun way to add color to the Happy Place stamp with video tutorial

September 22, 2025

I shared how to add color to the large ‘Happy’ from the Happy Place stamp set on last week’s Live video. What do you think?

We made this cute card at my September card clubs. The colors include Lost Lagoon, Calypso Coral & White. You might wonder how I achieved the two-toned inking on the Happy image. I used inks – Lost Lagoon for the water and Calypso Coral for the sky. For this sample I used large ink pads. But for my Clubs we used smaller ink spots. It was a lot easier this way!

You might also wonder where I got the rectangle Perennial Postage die shape. I had to die-cut a larger rectangle twice to get this size. It was pretty easy and I share how in the video below.

We textured the Lost Lagoon layer with the Wave 3D embossing folder and the curvy leaf dies are from the Label Me Grateful dies seen here. I love them! The inside greeting is from the With You in Mind stamp set.

It’s an easy fold that shows off the inside of the card and the designer paper we added. This DSP is the Subtles 6″ designer paper which has some great patterns.

I really enjoyed playing with this fun stamp set. I’ll share another project from the video tomorrow. See the Happy Place set here.

I created a free project sheet for you with measurements, photos, directions and a supply list with links. Click on this link to print or download it.

Below is the video tutorial for this card and one more. Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel while you’re there!

Stunning cards in the New Horizons card kit to go; or choose the PDF tutorial option

April 4, 2022
I couldn't decide which Designer Paper to feature for my April card kit to go so I did a poll on my Facebook group. The majority asked me to use the New Horizons DSP. I was leaning that way myself but their overwhelming response sealed the deal.

Here's a peak at the cards in this month's kit.

This paper almost makes the card itself! The scenes are so beautiful you don't need much to finish them off. Because of that this month's kit includes an extra set of 2 bonus cards for a total of 12 instead of the usual 10.

This kit is what my monthly kit subscribers will receive. Opt in for the pre-cut kit by April 18th. It's $28 plus shipping.

You'll receive the following in your kit:
- 12 pre-cut cards, die-cut & punched pieces
- 1/2 pkg of the New Horizons 6 X 6" DSP
- a share of Pebbles Enamel Shapes
- a share of 1/8" cotton combo ribbon
- the PDF tutorial with photos, supplies, measurements & step by step directions.
You will need the following to complete the cards:
1. Paper Trimmer, adhesives, Black, Blackberry Bliss & Evening Evergreen inks
2. Stamps – I used the On the Horizon stamp set but you can substitute what you already own. #Add on the stamp set or bundle at 10% off and it will ship with your kit! *message me here to get a total if you want to add on the stamp set or bundle
Click here to get the PDF tutorial.

The PDF tutorial is emailed to you immediately after payment. The kit will ship out at the end of April, barring any back-orders.

Here's a recent comment from a customer: I just received my kit loved the way you packaged it together I have bought other kits and yours is one of the better ones. The PDF is simple to understand for me and I so appreciate the time it took you to do all this. Many thanks.
