A beautiful scene with the ‘Here’s to You’ kit; a Paper Pumpkin alternate idea

The March Paper Pumpkin kit included stencils and a sponge in the kit so I had to play with creating a scene.  It's one of my favorite techniques!

One of the stencils has clouds in it.  I used Pool Party ink and lightly sponged on the upper part of my White CS.

Then I sponged Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral ink about an inch and a half from the bottom edge.  Now I stamped the trees image in the kit with Pretty Peacock ink.  I did not reink the stamp each time so as I stamped repeatedly I achieved the appearance of a distant forest. Love this!!

The birds and greeting images also came in this kit.

  • The So Cool Paper Pumpkin Kit is a little taste of summer fun, with enough supplies to make 12 colorful, shaped cards with coordinating envelopes. Six card bases are popsicle shaped, the other six are semicircles: three watermelons and three rainbows. All of the cards are splashed with cheerful, vivid watercolor images. The kit also includes two full-size, matching sticker sheets, die-cut accents, fun embellishments, and more.
  • Even though the So Cool Kit was designed with kids in mind, these fun-shaped cards, featuring vivid watercolors, are versatile enough to gift to kids of all ages—the young in years and the young at heart. They’re a great way to send some “sunshine in a card!” Who wouldn’t love that?
  • The kit’s exclusive So Cool Stamp Set is versatile, offering sentiments that can be used for multiple occasions such as birthdays, congrats, cheer, and more! It’s a great addition to any crafter’s collection.

  • Last of the Team swaps; gorgeous cards from the Holiday & Annual catalogs

    Today is the last of the swaps from our Flowerbug's September swap event.  I've sure enjoyed sharing their talent with you and hope you've been inspired by them.  If you haven't seen them all, click here and scroll down.

    First up is a a card by Ginny who featured the Painted Pheasant stamp set seen here.  I just love the colors she achieved on the bird!!

    She inked the stamp with markers; spritzed with water and stamped.  A clever way to get multiple colors on this image.

    Her card base is Petal Pink with a bit of Soft Succulent and Cajun Craze added too.

    ~~~
    Next is a pretty card made by Marilyn with the Gathered White bundle seen here.
    She used the Deckled rectangles & Stylish Shapes dies in addition to the dies in the Gathered White bundle.  Her colors are Crushed Curry with Early Espresso & White.
    ~~~

    Lastly is Tracey's cute card made with the Cheerful Basket bundle.  There's so much life & texture to this card!

    Her colors are Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, White & Soft Suede. The embossing folder is called Gingham, the letters are stamped on the Celebrate Everything host DSP and the apples are colored with Blends markers.

    The 'apples' is made with the adorable Alphabest bundle seen here.  This punch & stamp bundle is so easy to use!  It's photopolymer and allows you to easily and quickly customize your projects.  See it here.

    I hope you've enjoyed seeing the many incredible swap cards my Flowerbug's created for our September swap.  Here's a photo of them all:

  • Beautiful fall swap cards by my Team!

    This week I'm sharing the incredible swaps my Flowerbug's Team created for our September swap event.  Each month our group has an optional swap event that anyone on my Team can join.  This time it was fall or Halloween themed.

    Did you know there is a new special on the Starter kit in October? You can become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and enjoy all the perks too!  No worries on holding events or 'selling' if you don't want to. Most of my team are happy shoppers and just enjoy the discount and perks of being a part of the Stampin' Up! family.  Email me here if you'd like to learn more about this.

    Brenda made this gorgeous card with the popular Aspen Tree dies which were unavailable for awhile but they're back but now in low inventory again!  See them here.

    She die-cut the large die from Early Espresso card stock and added a few die-cut leaves, also from the Aspen Tree dies set.  The 'Hello' is from the Hello Harvest stamp set, stamped on a white stitched rectangle die-cut.

    Her amazing background is done with our Blending Brushes; it's a beautiful way to create a striking horizon for this die.

    Next is a stunning card made by Marla. This card has tons of texture that does not show in the photo.

    She featured the Texture Chic, Gold & Rose Gold and Distressed Gold designer papers.  The leaves, acorn and grid die-cuts are from the Chic dies seen here The greeting die-cut is from the Floral Gallery dies. It's so pretty!

    Measurements:

    • Coastal Cabana CS 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" & 4 1/4" X 3 1/4"
    • Early Espresso 5 1/4" X 4"
    • Texture Chic DSP 4" X 3"

    ~~~
    Next is a card made by a couple; Miles & Laura, featuring the Gnomes bundle.
    Isn't it a fun fall themed card?  The Kindest Gnomes bundle is quite versatile and don't have to be just for Christmas!
    Products used:
    • DSP – Celebrate Everything host paper (Holiday catalog page 87)
    • Kindest Gnomes bundle seen here
    • Watercolor pencils & linen thread
    • Crushed Curry & White card stock, Black ink
    ~~~

    Next is a sweet card made by Kim; she used the Hello Harvest bundle seen here.  Unfortunately the dies are unavailable now; they should be back around October 24th.

    Her colors include Soft Seafoam, Black, Mossy Meadow & Pumpkin Pie.  That gorgeous texture is made with the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder seen here.

    I have two more fabulous swap cards to share with you from our September Team swaps.  My Flowerbug's are so talented and creative.

    Paula made a Waterfall card!  These are not difficult but a bit intimidating maybe….  I shared a FB Live video here on how to make one.

    She featured the Scary Cute bundle seen here as well as the Black & White designs DSP here.  The colors are Black, White & Gorgeous Grape.

    She also used the Blossoming Happiness dies for her bottom border so she'd have a spot to add the Orchid Oasis 1/8" metallic ribbon for the pull.

    Measurements:

    • Black card 4 1/4" X 11" scored at 5 1/2"
    • Basic Gray strip 5 1/2" X 1 1/4", waterfall strip is 2 1/2" X 10" scored at 5 1/4", 6", 6 3/4" & 7 1/2"
    • Gorgeous Grape squares are 2 1/2"
    • White squares are 2 1/4"
    • DSP is 4" X 5 1/4"

    Here's a peak of the last inside panel with the die-cut & spooky scene.  She stamped the greeting on the long inside strip.

    Again, if you want to know how to make one of these waterfall cards check out my video here.

    ~~~
    Next is a colorful Halloween card made by Sharon using this same bundle.  She also added stamps from the Best Witches & Bewitching stamp sets.
    Her colors include Rich Razzleberry, Parakeet Party, Black & Daffodil Delight.  She used the Deckle dies for her front layers and inside as well.
    Here's a photo of this cute bundle.  Click on it to see it in my store.
    I hope you're enjoying these card swaps and getting inspired by them too!  There's lots more to come!!
