4-Card Wonder – free PDF tutorial, template, measurements & video!

I'm extremely excited & proud to share this project with you.  If you know me well, you know I love to create one sheet wonders. I've made quite a few over the last 10 years or so.  I'm so lucky that my husband is willing to create the templates for me; I'm not sure I'd love them as much without his help!  

I'm calling this project a 4-Card Wonder because it creates 4 cards.  I originally made this for a Team meeting project. I wanted it to be quick, create multiple cards and of course be easy and cute!

I shared this project & template on my weekly Live video but did record it and it's now on my YouTube channel as well. Scroll down to see the video.  

Here's the template – it's meant for a 1/2 sheet of card stock – 8 1/2" X 5 1/2".

Grab your favorite colors of ink and stamp your own background.  Then cut it up using the measurements above!  It's so fun to create your own stamped paper. It's a bit addictive!  

*Tip – choose stamps that include large & small images. When stamping your paper start with the largest stamps first and finish with the smallest; filling in any empty areas. 

I chose the Beautiful Balloons bundle.  My colors include Bubble Bath, Berry Burst, Pool Party & Parakeet Party.

I kept the cards quite simple but you could sure jazz them up a bit more.  Make the cards like mine or this can be a starting point for your creative process.

• Quick yet beautiful cards with the True Love Designer paper & video

  Sometimes you can let the designer paper do all of the work.  Look at this classy, beautiful card I made with the True Love Designer Paper!

  This designer paper is all Black & White, full of floral and other prints you can use as is or color like I did above.  Click here to see it online.

  I heat embossed the greeting and punched the end with our new Treasured Tags Pick a Punch.

  I used Daffodil Delight Blends marker to color in the flowers; coloring mainly on the printed lines on the flowers. Granny Apple Green for the leaves. Simple & quick!

• Easiest Shaker card you’ll ever make!

  Giving an interactive card makes the card extra special like shakers, spinners or fun folds.  But they can be time consuming or a lot of work.

  I used the free 'A Touch of Ink' stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  You can see it here.  That background was made with our Blending Brushes and Bermuda Bay & Calypso Coral ink.

  This type of shaker card is truly easy; really!  Besides the stamped element you need three basic things:

  1.  A clear envelope
  2. Strong adhesive
  3. Sequins, beads or tiny punched pieces

  Insert your stamped card stock into the clear envelope, fold the excess envelope over to the back and seal with adhesive leaving one end open.  Add your fun filler and seal closed.

  The pretty sequins in this card are the Woven Threads sequins in the annual catalog on page 157.

  I made a video in December on making one of these shaker cards.  Even though it's a Christmas card it's the same technique. Here it is:

  I used both the dies and the stamp set on my front panels.  I also stamped the greeting on the inside layer on the bottom left card.

  Measurements:

  Main card 4 1/4" X 7 1/2" scored at 5 1/2" *save the extra piece for the front layer ( 3 1/2" X 2 3/4"

  White 4" X 5 1/4", 3 1/4" X 2 1/2"

  DSP 1 3/4” X 4”.

   

  The neat thing about this card is that you can use what you cut off of the main card as your layer on the front flap.  Love that!
