I sponged colors of Bermuda Bay, Parakeet Party & Tahitian Tide onto one side of the vellum before adhering it to a layer of White CS.  I added a die-cut from the Tropical Layer dies seen here (50% off right now!) and a greeting die-cut.

• Welcome cards made with scraps & Field & Flower DSP

  February 11, 2021

  ---

This week I've been sharing cards made with this beautiful Flower & Field DSP; it's free with any $50 order in February during Sale-a-Bration.  See it here.

I created a colorful group of cards for my new Team members last week.  I had a bunch of random pieces in the pack of Designer Paper and I decided to challenge myself to use mostly extras & just create!

Look at the fun colors and layouts!  I grabbed my bags of scraps and a pile of White CS strips and just played.  Have you ever done this?

This Flower & Field DSP (seen here) has so many different color combos in it; all with a Black background.  Honestly at first I wasn't sure I liked it. However I love to accent with black; it seems to make a card stand out beautifully.  Looking at these cards now I just love i

This Designer Paper is free with any $50 order this month.  But it ends February 28th!  Plus you never know if they could run out.  So don't wait!

If you have a nice size wish list I hope you'll consider purchasing the Stampin' Up! Starter kit.  It is such a great deal and no one on my Team has ever regretted it!  In fact most say they wish they'd done it sooner!

While I'm very, very grateful for the $100 orders I'm getting I cannot help think that the order could be a Starter Kit purchase!  Free shipping and 20% off future orders.

• Field & Flower Mystery Card

  February 10, 2021

  ---

I am holding a mystery card challenge with me Team.  I send them a variety of pieces in a card base and challenge them to use them to create a card.  They can cut up or punch, or add anything to create an original card.

This week I'm sharing a few projects with the pretty Field & Flower DSP (seen here) from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  It's currently free with any $50 order US.

Here is what I came up with for my Mystery card:

  Save

In their packet I added a White card base, a large piece of Flower & Field designer series paper, a strip of Bumblebee CS, punched Black & white pieces and some Bumblebee ribbon.  I decided to add a few stitched flowers from the Pierced Bloom dies (seen here).  Look at this amazing stitching!

  Save

The Black center is from the Perennial Petal dies (seen here) however. I love that cute die!  The greeting is from the Happy Thoughts stamp set.

To create this angled piece I started with a 4" X 4 1/4" piece of designer paper and just cut it in half on the diagonal.  It really doesn't matter what your angle is.  Then I added a strip of Bumblebee CS underneath the diagonal cut.  So easy!
