Spotlight on Nature fun fold card; free project sheet & video tutorial

Today I'm sharing the second card I created on last week's Live video.  Both feature new in colors and the Spotlight on Nature bundle.

SPOTLIGHT ON NATURE BUNDLE Save

This card really shows off the two embossing folders I used.  On the card below I used the Dotted Circles 3D folder seen here. It's an extra large folder (6" X 8 1/2") that has very deep texture.  It's Shy Shamrock with Pretty in Pink. The designer paper is the Unbounded Beauty.

The card below features the Eyelet 3D folder which is quite pretty & delicate. See it here. This card is Petunia Pop with Shy Shamrock. 

Do you notice the difference in the greetings?  I fussy cut one to add to the In Color Glimmer paper and the other I simply trimmed the ends at an angle.

  • Welcoming Woods Holiday Catalog Sneak Peak

    With each new catalog I join a bunch of online swaps so I can get lots of samples to share with my customers.  Both the Holiday catalog and a 2nd Sale-a-Bration catalog start on August 3rd!  I know my customers started to receive theirs last week. 

    I loved the Welcoming Woods stamp set immediately.  Nature, trees, 'scene building' sets are some of my favorites.  

    I went for a soft look of winter trees on my card.

    I stamped the trees in Crumb Cake ink onto the White CS.  Then I added snowflakes in Balmy Blue ink and sponged a light 'mist' of Balmy Blue on the sky.  Of course I added a few rhinestones for sparkle!

    That beautiful Designer Paper is called Harvest Meadow.

    The tags for the greeting is from the Tailor Made Tags dies seen here.

  • Fun Swaps by my Flowerbug’s Team with Sneak Peaks from the Holiday catalog

    Today I'm sharing two swaps made by my talented Flowerbug's Team.  I love seeing their style & creativity!

    Karen made this fun fold card using the Bunches of Fun stamp set seen here.

    Her colors are Black, White & Crushed Curry.  She also used a fun technique called Paper Piecing.  She stamped the gal onto Pattern Party DSP and fussy cut the dress out.  Love this!!

    See that texture on the large Crushed Curry layer?  That's a sneak peak from the upcoming Holiday catalog.  It's called Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder.

    Next is another Sneak Peak card made by Lori.  She used the new Penguin Place bundle in the Holiday catalog.  It includes a cute Penguin punch!

    She added a layer of White to her Balmy Blue card base and torn the upper edge. She added a bit of Wink of Stella to the torn area for snow.  A super fun winter birthday card!
