Spotlight on Nature fun fold card; free project sheet & video tutorial

Today I'm sharing the second card I created on last week's Live video.  Both feature new in colors and the Spotlight on Nature bundle.

SPOTLIGHT ON NATURE BUNDLE Save

This card really shows off the two embossing folders I used.  On the card below I used the Dotted Circles 3D folder seen here. It's an extra large folder (6" X 8 1/2") that has very deep texture.  It's Shy Shamrock with Pretty in Pink. The designer paper is the Unbounded Beauty.

The card below features the Eyelet 3D folder which is quite pretty & delicate. See it here. This card is Petunia Pop with Shy Shamrock. 

Do you notice the difference in the greetings?  I fussy cut one to add to the In Color Glimmer paper and the other I simply trimmed the ends at an angle.

  • Wisteria Wishes with the new Split Card Textures dies; with video!

     

    Today I'm sharing another card featuring the Wisteria Wishes bundle.  I paired it with the Split Card Textures dies seen here:

    I have to say that I think it's gorgeous!  The Split Card Textures dies are an easy & unique addition to your card projects.  There are two dies in this set; you can see them here.

    Wisteria Wishes with Split Textures Save

    My colors are Starry Sky, Old Olive and White.  I cut two sets of Wisteria with the Wisteria Dies and trimmed the smaller one a bit shorter. Then I sponged them with Starry Sky ink on the edges.  I adhered them together with bits of Stampin' Dimensionals for lift.  

    I stamped the greeting in Old Olive directly on the White CS and the leaves are stamped & die-cut.

    I wanted a fuller bow so I split the Old Olive twill ribbon into two long pieces and tied together in a bow.

    Wisteria Wishes swap Save

    My colors include Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party and a little Old Olive with White.  This card was pretty instinctive; hanging wisteria is the first thing that comes to mind.  There are a few tricks I used to alter the leaves die-cuts though.  I trimmed off a few extra pieces to fit the stamped images better.  You can see what I did in the video below.  

    This bundle is super versatile!  I made two more cards in the video plus shared a bunch of swap card ideas as well.  You might be inspired to purchase it once you see them all!

  • Get great ideas with the Last bunch of the amazing In Color card swaps!

    I've shared my Flowerbugs Team In Color card swaps the last few days and today is the last bunch. I hope you're been enjoying them.  They really are the best stampers!  

    The guidelines for this month's Team swap was to use at least 2 new In Colors on our card.  

    This first one was made by Candace who used 4 out of 5 of the new In Colors!  Look at this fun layout!

    She used the Sweetest Cherries bundle, the 6 X 6" pack of In Color DSP and the Stylish Shapes dies seen here.  Her card base is Parakeet Party and the next layer is Starry Sky.  Super cute!

    Next up is an adorable card made by Deloris who used the Sweet Songbird bundle.

    She used Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet and a bit of Parakeet Party for the leaves.  I love this sweet bundle!  

    Lastly is a fun layout Karen made using the Rectangular Postage punch.  Her colors include Sweet Sorbet & Starry Sky.

    I love how she added the greeting with the same punch as the first 4 but turned horizontally.  What a fun card layout this is!
