Split Front card technique; it’s easy with my template & video!

We made this pretty set of cards on Monday night's Stamp with Me Live.  It's the 2nd & 4th Monday's at 7:30 pm CT.  Click here and follow my page to get notified when I'm live.  There are 6 live videos each month!

I used the Beauty of the Earth DSP seen here.  The die-cuts are from the Iconic and Artistic dies. in White & Misty Moonlight. The greeting is from the In Symmetry stamp set. Those pretty Subtle Shimmer sequins are from the upcoming Holiday catalog which starts next week!!

I also used another sneak peak product from the upcoming Holiday catalog; the Timber 3D embossing folder.  Of course I stamped the greeting before I embossed it.

I hope you watch the video below to get the tips on cutting these pieces and finishing the cards.

Here is the template.  Start out with a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of card stock AND of Designer Paper.

I suggest you cut this out of scrap card stock.  Make marks where indicated and cut on the diagonal.  Once you have the template I first place the bottom left piece (2 1/2") over my cut DSP & CS pieces and cut.  Then I use the upper right piece (3 3/4") on the remaining piece of papers and cut.  That leaves me with the center piece ready to go.

Here's the video for you:

  • Glow of Harvest Standing Easel card with free project sheet & video

Here’s the pretty card I shared on last week’s video; I love this neat fun fold layout!

It really shows off your designer paper and stands up nicely on the extra card stock added.
Here’s another view of this gorgeous specialty paper:

My colors include Golden Glow, Pecan Pie and White. That pretty fall paper is the 12″ Glow of Harvest specialty paper – it’s currently available for just $5 with any order over $75. This shimmery paper was our Product of the Month in September and available while supplies last. See it here.

I fussy cut the leaves and pumpkins from the DSP and added them onto the textured card front. This is the Rustic Check 3D embossing folder seen here.

This die-cut frame is from the Frames and Phrases dies seen here. The striped specialty paper is called Radiant Foils.

I created a free project sheet for this card. Click here to print or download it.

This card has two folded card bases attached to each other which allows for the standing easel and an inside area to write on.

Below is the video tutorial for this card layout. I hope you watch it. I also share all of my newest kits to go & tutorials for October too.

  • Cozy Christmas card kit to go; reserve yours now!

I had fun creating these fantastic Christmas cards with a former Paper Pumpkin kit from last year. I have a limited quantity of these available this month in a kit to go.

There are 12 cards with envelopes in this kit. I was able to change the kit from 9 to 12 cards. There are so many fantastic die-cut elements included in this one.

This kit includes the pre-cut kit, envelopes, adhesives and gems. You will need a few greetings, inks and embossing folders if you choose to make them like I did.

See it here in my store. It’s $31 plus shipping. The PDF tutorial is $17 and is seen here. The tutorial is emailed to you immediately after payment. The pre-cut kit is mailed out at the end of October.

Remember that if you order more than one kit shipping is combines and you’ll save $$.

  • Two more card kits & tutorial are now available for pre-order!

I chose the Painted Patch designer series paper for one of my October card kits & tutorials (I have 3 this month!). The colors are incredible together and the patterns are fresh & fun. Look at these Fun Fold cards!

This card kit includes 5 sets of cards and you’ll make 2 of each one. This kit is all unique fun fold layouts.

I paired the Painted Patch DSP with the Painted Patch gems and the Calypso Coral & Copper ribbon. You’ll get a share of each of these products along with the 10 pre-cut cards and the PDF tutorial. Everything is pre-cut for you except the package of DSP. You’ll use the directions in the tutorial to cut your new paper. It’s so easy to create these cards when it’s all ready to go.

I create my kits so you do not need a specific stamp set to finish them. All you need are some greeting images and a few inks.

This kit can be seen here. It’s $32 plus shipping (order more than one to save $$). There is also a PDF tutorial available for $17. See that here.

The tutorials are emailed to you immediately after payment. The pre-cut kits are mailed out at the end of October.

I’ll share the third card kit tomorrow; it’s a Christmas card kit! Here’s a sneak peek:

You can see it here on my Shop.
