Splendid Day cards with an easy background technique; video too.

Check out this pretty card using the Splendid Thoughts bundle.  I shared how to make it in a recent Live video seen here.

I think the Brick background is so pretty with the die-cuts.  I used the 'Direct to Paper' technique.  I used the Brick Wall embossing folder on the Calypso Coral CS and then used an open White Craft ink pad to lightly brush ink onto the textured CS.  I purposely keep my White Craft ink less inked than desired because I love doing this!  If yours is well inked you may want to use a sponge instead.

The colors include White, Calypso Coral, Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink.  The Splendid Day Specialty designer paper is gorgeous and full of Foil & Copper accents on one side and subtle prints on the other.  Here's what the entire suite looks like.  It will be available tomorrow, July 1st.

I stamped a few of the die-cuts and the greeting in Smoky Slate ink.  I fussy cut the greeting and added it to the curved 'half circle' die-cut over the ribbon.  I'll share more Splendid Thoughts projects tomorrow.

I have cardstock share's happening this month. We used to have these in the mini catalogs but they stopped offering them so I now offer them to my customers on occasion.

Here's how it works.  Instead of getting 24 sheets of 1 color in a package (like the catalog offers), I provide 6 sheets each of 4 different colors. It's a great way to get a nice sampling of our card stock.

These colors coordinate with the new Designer Papers in the Spring catalog.

    1. Wildflower Birthday – 6 sheets each of Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie, Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam

    2. Floral Delight – 6 sheets each of Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Lemon Lolly & Old Olive

    3. Beautiful Bokeh – 6 sheets each of Berry Burst, Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue & Calypso Coral

    4. Friends of the Ocean – 6 sheets each of Pumpkin Pie, Summer Splash, Melon Mambo & Lemon Lime Twist

    5. Storybook Moments – 6 sheets each of Mossy Meadow, Boho Blue, Basic Beige & Pebbled Path

    6. Timeless Plaid – 6 sheets each of Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, Calypso Coral & Wild Wheat

*If you'd like any of these let me know.  I'll figure postage once you tell me how many shares you'd like and provide your zip code as well.  Email me here for a quote.

These shares will be offered for just a few weeks; so contact me soon.
