Retro Circles layout with a quick video. So unique & versatile!

I hope you had a nice Christmas weekend!  We sure did.  It's one of my favorite times of the year; one time where all of my kids are home and we're all together.

Here's another card we made at my December card clubs.  It was such a hit on Facebook Live Stamp with Me that I had to do it at Club too.  It's a great way to show off your designer paper with this retro style.  Scroll down to see the video.

You just need three circles of different sizes.  I used the Stitched Shapes dies so they have the extra detail of stitches on the edges.  I use these dies so much!  If you don't have them I highly recommend them. See them here.

I used the Brightly Gleaming specialty DSP here and instead of the copper foiled side I used the other side which has Navy, Mossy Meadow & Island Indigo.

The stamped images are from the Itty Bitty Birthday & Lots to Celebrate stamp sets.  Just one ink color; Night of Navy.

Below are the cards we made on one of my Monday night Stamp with Me FB lives.  See that video here.

The above cards were made with various designer papers & stamp sets.  The top is Classic Christmas, left is Heartwarming Hugs and right is Snowflake Splendor.

Measurements:

  • Main card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
  • Neutral (White or Vanilla) is 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
  • Greeting strip is 1/2" X 5"
  • Circles are the largest three stitched circle dies 1 3/4", 2 3/8" & 2 7/8"

  • Gorgeous Night Divine Fun fold card

We held our monthly Team swap this weekend and I'm thrilled to share the cards with you! Our themed was Christmas cards.

First is this stunning card made by Roxann:

She chose the Night Divine bundle seen here. Unfortunately I noticed the stamp set is out of stock now; it should be back in a few weeks.  She also used the O Holy Night designer paper seen here.

Here's the bundle: such beautiful greetings and the dies…!!

You can see her fun fold a little better in this image below:

    Measurements:

    • Night of Navy card base 5 1/2" X 8" score at 1", 2" and 5", panel under greeting is 1 7/8" square
    • left vertical piece 3 1/4" X 5 1/2" score at 4"
    • Vanilla inside front and back are 5 1/4" X 2 3/4", greeting 1 3/4" square
    • Designer paper 5 1/5" X 7/8" strip on lower front, 3 1/8" X 1 3/4" panel under nativity, sky is 3 1/8" X 2 1/2"

Here's the back side; she textured it with the Stars at Night embossing folder and added a donkey die-cut.

The O Holy Night designer paper has been in and out of stock the past month of so.  It's currently back in stock!

  • Artist of the Month projects with the Bag of Bones suite!

Our Artist of the Month for September was Candy who chose the Bag of Bones bundle. She did an incredible job on her projects!

The suite is no longer available because the Glow in the Dark bats & ghosts have been discontinued. This means you can still get everything else individually.

First is a card showing off both the Bag of Bones bundle and the Them Bones designer paper.

She tore her paper and pieces it on her card base.  Then she stamped the skeleton using Versmark onto Black card stock heat embossing it with White embossing powder. Love the boots and hat on him!  The circles are die-cuts from the new Deckled Circle dies in the 2023 Holiday catalog.

Here's the Them Bones designer paper:

Next is a neat monochromatic card in Basic Gray and Gray Granite.  She stamped the background with the skeleton bones!

The tombstone, fence, bats, cat and dog are all die-cuts from the Bag of Bones bundle. The dog and cat are stamped on our Glow in the Dark specialty paper.  You must use Stazon in for this or it may run. She sponged on gray ink onto the tombstone and fence for a 'spooky' look.

Next is a cute treat holder made with that same tombstone die-cut.  She simply added a few strips of card stock inside the two die-cuts to create a pouch.

This card is so fun; she featured a panel from the Them Bones designer paper to show off the dancing skeleton.  Love his suspenders, hat and bow tie!!

These skeletons are all heat embossed with White embossing powder onto Black card stock. You can see a few of the glow in the dark bats and ghosts here.  Unfortunately they are sold out now and will not return.

Here's a slimline card showing off more of the Them Bones designer paper.  Her colors are Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze.

Isn't it cute how the skeleton on the bottom has his dog on a leash?!

This next card shows off a neat background effect.  She used the Deckled Circle dies

The background is made by sponging on the houndstooth mask (Abundant Beauty decorative masks) then debossed it with the Distressed Tile embossing folder. She then dragged the Blackberry Bliss ink pad across it.  Cool!

Didn't she create a fabulous group of projects. She truly showcased this Halloween suite wonderfully!  Fantastic job Candy!!!

  • Pick of the Patch Diamond Flap fun fold card.

I created this super fun card on a video a few weeks ago. It features the Pick of the Patch stamp & punch bundle and Them Bones designer series paper.

I was inspired by a card my friend Susie Wood made and sent to me. She is fabulous at designing fun fold cards and an amazing designer. Check out her blog here.

She used the same designer paper and the Leaf Fall embossing folder but her stamp set is Cheers to the Season seen here.

Here's the inside view. You can see the Leaf Fall embossing folder here.

This card starts out at 10 1/2" X 4 1/4" and with a few score lines and a trim of the end points, you'll achieve this neat fun fold.

*Here's the free printable project sheet: Download Diamond Flap fun fold card

Below is the video; click on it to see how this card is made.
