Quick Framed Panel card; three ways!

For last week's Stamp with Me Facebook Live I chose to make framed panel cards.  There are likely many ways to frame a stamped panel but I chose to highlight three of them – Stamped, Textured and Designer Paper.  Look!

Framed Panel card White ink Save

On these first two cards I stamped leaves on card stock using White Craft ink.  The colors above are the new 2020-22 In Colors in Just Jade and Misty Moonlight.  I used the Layered with Kindness (retiring!; see it here) and the brand new Forever Fern stamp sets.  The punch is Label Me Fancy seen here. 

Just look at the detail on the Distinktive images here on the Forever Fern stamp set.  I'm in the middle of creating a new Wonder template for 8 quick, beautiful cards using this stamp set.  I cannot wait to share it with you!  

Framed Panel Misty Moonlight Save

I do not have the new Misty Moonlight ink yet so I used Night of Navy, stamped off once.  It's close!

Measurements:

  • Card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
  • long pieces are 1" X 4 1/4"
  • short pieces are 1" X 3"
  • stamped panel is 1 3/4" X 3"
  • Navy layer is 1 7/8" X 3 1/8" 

This next card is the new Cinnamon Cider with Bermuda Bay.  I also used the new Forever Fern stamp set here.  The butterflies are from Butterfly Wishes set.

The next card is Seaside Spray with Night of Navy and features the Layered with Kindness and Butterfly Wishes. which coordinated with our Butterfly Duet punch. The Ornate Floral embossing folder is new and in the upcoming Annual catalog but it's available now.

Lastly is one made with Garden Lane designer series paper (on sale right now) in Garden Green & Mint Macaron.

  • Quick yet beautiful cards with the True Love Designer paper & video

    I used Daffodil Delight Blends marker to color in the flowers; coloring mainly on the printed lines on the flowers. Granny Apple Green for the leaves. Simple & quick! 

    I also made two more striking cards with this paper and the Pretty Perennials bundle. You can watch the Live video below. 

    Measurements:

    • Card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • Designer Paper 3" X 4"
    • Black layer 3 1/4" X 4 1/4", greeting strip is 1/2" X 3 3/4"

  • Easiest Shaker card you’ll ever make!

    Giving an interactive card makes the card extra special like shakers, spinners or fun folds.  But they can be time consuming or a lot of work.  

    Touch of Ink shaker Save

    I used the free 'A Touch of Ink' stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  You can see it here.  That background was made with our Blending Brushes and Bermuda Bay & Calypso Coral ink.

    A TOUCH OF INK PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET (ENGLISH) Save

    This type of shaker card is truly easy; really!  Besides the stamped element you need three basic things:

    1.  A clear envelope
    2. Strong adhesive
    3. Sequins, beads or tiny punched pieces

    Insert your stamped card stock into the clear envelope, fold the excess envelope over to the back and seal with adhesive leaving one end open.  Add your fun filler and seal closed.

    The pretty sequins in this card are the Woven Threads sequins in the annual catalog on page 157.

    I made a video in December on making one of these shaker cards.  Even though it's a Christmas card it's the same technique. Here it is:

    Measurements:
    Main card 4 1/4" X 7 1/2" scored at 5 1/2" *save the extra piece for the front layer ( 3 1/2" X 2 3/4"
    White 4" X 5 1/4", 3 1/4" X 2 1/2"
    DSP 1 3/4” X 4”.
     
    The neat thing about this card is that you can use what you cut off of the main card as your layer on the front flap.  Love that!
