Quick cards for Men using paper strips!

I thought paper strips were a perfect way to create cards for men.  So I chose some 1/2" strips of blues and greens and adhered them to a piece of White 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card stock at an angle.

Add them at an angle, graduating colors as you go if you wish.  Once you're added strips trim off the excess on the edges.

Next I used the retiring Well Written 'birthday' dies seen here and cut it out of the stripes piece.  I wanted the greeting to reflect the same colors in the background.  So easy!

I adhered it to the Tasteful Labels die-cut with Multipurpose Glue. I stamped 'Happy' from the coordinating stamp set Well Said seen here and fussy cut it to add to the card.

Next is another card with the exact same colors but totally different.  I adhered 1/2" strips to the edge of a White card base.  I didn't worry about the outer edge until I was done; trimming it off afterwards.  I focused on the left edge being even.

I added a skinny 1/8" strip of Night of Navy to cover up any unevenness on my left edge.  A length of Navy twine wrapped around and into a bow finishes it off.

The 'you' is from the Well Written dies and the 'make me smile' is rom the Well Said stamp set (heat embossed in White) on a Navy Tailored Tag punch.

  • Last of the WOW Amazing Team swaps

Last week (and yesterday) I shared many of our March Online Exclusive Team swaps and today is the last set.

This first card was made by Jacki who featured the Encircled in Nature bundle. You can find it here in the Online store.

Count the dies used here; she is never one to keep it simple!  Her colors include Pecan Pie, Shaded Spruce and Early Espresso.

The card is 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". Then she scored the front from bottom center to the upper left. And she added layers; two layers including the A Little Latte designer paper.

It opens as a stand up Easel card.  Isn't it fabulous?!!

She also used the Sweetly Scripted stamp set seen here.  It's unavailable right now but should be back.  No date is known at this time.  She used the double oval punch to hold up the easel layers.  What an amazing card!

Next is a sweet card made by Sharon who chose the Fluffiest Friends bundle seen here.

Her colors include Wild Wheat, White & Old Olive. Lots of texture here with the Exposed Brick and Cane Weave 3D folders.

I hope you enjoyed their creations.  I love seeing their styles and creativity!

  • Pretty Team card swaps you don’t want to miss!

Today I'm continuing the March Team swap shares. Our theme was Online Exclusives and wow; did they show these products off!

First is a stunning card made by Jonna who chose to feature the Magnolia Mood bundle seen here.

Her colors include Bubble Bath, Pebbled Path & Lost Lagoon. Her floral image is colored amazingly!  She added a loop of the Bubble Bath ribbon and underneath the flower is a die-cut from the bundle. Her embossing folder is the Softly Sophisticated that is retired now.

Next is a fun fold card made by Paula. She featured the Friendship Royalty set seen here.

This set and the Bright & Beautiful designer paper are not in our Online Exclusives but in the Annual catalog. She folded back the front fold 1" and added Bubble Bath CS to it.  The front dies are from our Nested Essential dies seen here.

Here's the inside view which I love!

That wand she created to add over the swirly stars image is genius!  I just love her creativity!

Stop in tomorrow to see two more of our March Team swaps. You don't want to miss them!

  • Check out the many OnStage gifts, new products & In Colors!!

I had a fantastic time at OnStage in Houston with some of my Team last weekend. We spent three full days there and enjoyed fabulous displays, presentations and more.   I thought I'd share some of the photos, products and gifts I received.

I'll share more in detail on my FB Live later today. See it here on my page or later on YouTube.  I'll also share a bunch of swaps too!

This was the ribbon display; it was huge and so pretty!  Do you spy any new colors here??

They did two walls of designer paper in rainbow colors.  These are not grouped in their paper packs but in color hues.  What do you think of the background color?

Now for some upcoming new products….  Remember these were gifts for OnStage attendees and are not available to others yet.  The new Annual catalog goes live on May 1st, 2024.

And here are the 5 new BEAUTIFUL In Colors for 2024-2026.

They're just fabulous and will be super popular!  From left to right, their names are Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink (yes it's back from years ago), Summer Splash, Petunia Pop and Shy Shamrock.

I'll be offering a special in April on the In Color card stock, ink pads, refills, gems and more.  Stay tuned for the details. I usually bundle it all and offer free ribbon or markers with purchase.

We have a new color wheel!!

We had one many years ago and this tool can be super helpful to those who struggle with color combos.  I'll be sharing ways to use this tool in the near future.

Below is most of what I received while there.  A few items are from prize patrols and a bonus class and some were in our beautiful new backpack when we checked in.  *do you spy anything that doesn't belong here?

The big peach case is a super neat craft box! I'll share more details on most of these items in my video today.

This was a bundle I chose for my bonus class Thursday night.  We received a bunch of products to create with including the new In Colors shown above.  I love both the stamps & dies here!

This was my Prize Patrol surprise – a set of 6" Lily Pond Lane designer.  It's part of the Lily Pond Lane suite with a stamp set & dies bundle & pretty gems.

Here's a photo of the new & beautiful Annual Catalog cover:
