Quick cards for Men using paper strips!

I thought paper strips were a perfect way to create cards for men.  So I chose some 1/2" strips of blues and greens and adhered them to a piece of White 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card stock at an angle.

Add them at an angle, graduating colors as you go if you wish.  Once you're added strips trim off the excess on the edges.

Next I used the retiring Well Written 'birthday' dies seen here and cut it out of the stripes piece.  I wanted the greeting to reflect the same colors in the background.  So easy!

I adhered it to the Tasteful Labels die-cut with Multipurpose Glue. I stamped 'Happy' from the coordinating stamp set Well Said seen here and fussy cut it to add to the card.

Next is another card with the exact same colors but totally different.  I adhered 1/2" strips to the edge of a White card base.  I didn't worry about the outer edge until I was done; trimming it off afterwards.  I focused on the left edge being even.

I added a skinny 1/8" strip of Night of Navy to cover up any unevenness on my left edge.  A length of Navy twine wrapped around and into a bow finishes it off.

The 'you' is from the Well Written dies and the 'make me smile' is rom the Well Said stamp set (heat embossed in White) on a Navy Tailored Tag punch.

  • Hat’s Off; a neat bundle with so many possibilities. Video tutorial too!

The Hat's Off bundle was a bit of a sleeper to me when I first saw it.  But seeing what other's created with it made me buy it.

Once I played with it, I absolutely loved it!  See this bundle here.

I created this card for my June card clubs.

I chose these colors; Gray Granite, Real Red, Crushed Curry and Misty Moonlight.  I stamped the background stars with Versamark ink.  I love the tone on tone this ink pad provides.

The stars are from the Stitched Stars dies and the texture is from the Checks & Dots embossing folder duo seen here.

Scroll down to watch the video.

Can you see the stitched detail on the hat and the emblem?  These dies are fabulous!  This bundle is a fabulous price point; just $35 for the set & dies!

    Measurements:

    • Gray Granite card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
      Real Red 2" X 5 1/4"
      White greeting 3/4" X 3 1/4", inside is 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
Misty Moonlight & Bumblebee CS for die-cuts

  • Annual HUGE Stamping Sale is Saturday!!

Each year my customers and I host a HUGE crafting sale. We sell our excess product to make room for more; or to make money to buy more!

This year we have over 30 people participating and this is what is looks like!  Remember most but not all is Stampin' Up! but it is all paper crafting items.

This first picture is just a quarter of our 25 tables.  There's lots more inside and out.

It's in Minot, ND this Saturday, June 26th from 9-3 pm at 429 Cedon Drive.  People who shop at our sale are so happy with the deals they've gotten.  They never want to miss one.

It's absolutely amazing and the selection and prices are crazy!  It's actually hard for me to see some of the Stampin' Up! products sell at these ridiculous prices.  But then again, what good does it do sitting on a shelf?!

Here are some photos of our set up this year:

If you live near me in Minot, ND I hope you can come.  If you don't, well I sincerely apologize for teasing you!

I hope you understand, but I cannot shop for anyone long distance.  There just isn't time as we are open for just a few hours & tear down immediately after the sale while everyone is there to help. It takes a lot of people for this sale to run smoothly.

*If you want to come next year we traditionally hold it the last week of June.

I am planning a BOGO the end of July and hope to offer my retired products online to everyone.
