One Horse Open Sleigh Fun Fold cards with video & measurements!

On last week's Live video I shared three fantastic fun fold cards featuring the One Horse Open Sleigh designer paper – it's an Online Exclusive you can see here.

I love this card because it shows off the full beauty of this scenic paper. Whenever I have a pretty scenic paper I want to show off  this is the layout I use.

Just trim off 3/4" of the upper or lower edge of the designer paper and cut using the following measurements: 

Measurements:

  • DSP – start with 1 piece 5 ¼” tall X 6” wide. Make your first cut 2 ¾” from the left edge vertically.  From that cut edge cut another piece at 1 1/8"
  • Card base 8 ½” X 5 ½” score at 1 ½” & 4 ¼”
  • White inside 1 ¾” X 5 ¼”

  • Pretty Marvelous Nature card with video tutorial & measurements

    I've seen a few projects with the Marvelous Nature set and was intrigued by it's reverse images. And it's nature so I ordered it.  This card was one of two I made on this week's Live video:

    I chose to use Lost Lagoon with Pretty Peacock. I also added some of the Hello, Irresistible designer paper. This pretty DSP is on sale right now too!  See it here.  

    You may also spy the shimmery strip beside the greeting.  This is our Soft Shimmer 12" X 12" paper pack seen here.  It has 5 rich colors in it.

  • Colorful Inked Botanicals card kit or PDF tutorial option; available now

    The Inked Botanicals designer paper is a favorite of my customers so I chose it as one of my June card kits.  The color combinations and botanical prints are pretty and quite colorful too. 

    Here are the cards I came up with:

  • Gorgeously Made & Delightfully Eclectic swaps

    I thought I'd share a few swaps I received on the Norway incentive trip. 

    This first card was made by Alanna Wharf. It features the Gorgeously Made bundle seen here.

    This card put me over the edge; now I have to get this bundle!  

    She used the Masterfully Made 12" designer paper seen here (sale price now at $10.62) and the Soft Shimmer 12" combo pack on the leaf die-cut.

    Here's a close-up of this specialty paper and the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder.  I love the simplicity of this card; it really shows off the die-cut, pretty DSP & texture.
