Inlaid technique video with Mountain View!

This gorgeous card was one of our January Card Club projects. Of course I love the colors of Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green and Pretty Peacock.

I cased the idea from Cheryl Miller at Sense of Whimsy.

Here's how to make this pretty card.

First die-cut two trees from the main White panel one on the upper left and one on the lower right.
I sponged one of these die-cut white trees with Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple ink for the center tree.
Then die-cut two more trees from the Lily Impressions designer paper (free with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration).
Adhere the White panel to the Coastal Cabana panel and then to the main Green card base.
Insert the two die-cut trees into the left and right die-cut areas for an inlaid effect. (I recommend Fine Tip glue or Multipurpose adhesive)
There's a trick to getting this unique greeting shape with the Tailored Tag punch. I share it on the video below.
I used the Sending you Thoughts stamp set and heat embossed the greeting.

Pretty is the word for the Hand Penned suite!

This is one of the first cards I made with the Hand-Penned suite. I chose to use the Soft Succulent card base with Fresh Freesia and So Saffron accents.

That pretty paper is called Hand-Penned Designer Paper seen here on page 131 of the new Annual catalog. It features so many soft, beautiful colors. People are loving it so much I will likely feature it for a kit to go in June.

I used the Painted Labels dies for the neat circle die-cut and the Fresh Freesia scalloped trim is from the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle. Click here to see the bundle.

Sweet Ice Cream Fun Fold card with video tutorial

We made this special fun fold card at last month's Card Clubs. See how it latches on the punched ice cream piece?

I used the Sweet Ice Cream bundle and the Ice Cream Corner Designer Paper seen here. This DSP is retiring in June; if you like it get it now while you can. The cones on this card are punched from the designer paper itself. No need to stamp them when the paper is perfect! The card stock is Cinnamon Cider with Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive.

You can mix & match the designer papers for a nice variety of cards. I used Blackberry Bliss, Pear Pizzazz and Cinnamon Cider ink, stamping off first for the solid ice cream images.
