The last of the Beautiful Fun Fold card swaps

This is the last bunch of Fun Fold cards this week; each one has been made by my talented Flowerbug's Team.

Sue made this pretty and unique card using the Positive Thought stamp set.

She used the Positive Thoughts stamp set and the Cross of Hope dies (on sale right now for just $10.80; they were $27.00!)

Measurements:

Petal Pink – 5 1/2" X 4 1/4"
Blackberry Bliss 6 3/4" X 5 3/4" scored at 4"
Whisper White – 7 1/2" X 5" scored at 3 5/8"

Next is Karen's pretty card featuring the Magnolia Blooms stamp set and the Magnolia Lane designer paper. This pretty paper is also on sale; at $8.05 right now while supplies last here. She colored the flower in with the Petal Pink blends markers.

Petal Pink 4 1/4" X 11" scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2", small layer is 3 1/4" square
White inside is 4" X 5 1/4", front is 2 3/4" square
Black is 3" square

Candy made this beautiful card, also with the Positive thoughts stamp set and coordinating Nature's Thoughts dies.

That gorgeous rectangle die-cut is from the Ornate Layers dies here. They're amazing!!! Her colors are Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and a splash of Coastal Cabana. Here's the inside view:

Rich Razzleberry 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" from each end
Very Vanilla inside is 5 1/4" X 4", plus a piece for the rectangle die-cuts
Crumb Cake pieces are 1 7/8" X 5 1/4"

Mary made this pretty card using the Free as a Bird stamp set and the Bird Ballad designer paper.

She colored the birds with Blends markers; so soft and pretty!

Whisper White 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" from each end. The inside White Nested Label die-cut is 4 3/4" X 2 5/8"
Front stamped layer and Bird Ballad designer paper piece are 2 1/4" X 3 3/4".
Pool Party layers 2 1/2" X 4"

Sweet Songbird candy nest box – a cute & easy project!

Marilyn brought this adorable little treat basket to our Flowerbug's Team gathering a few months ago. I can't believe I haven't shared it here yet!

She used the Sweet Songbirds stamp set & punch bundle to make it. See this bundle here.

Isn't it cute!? She stamped the nests in Soft Suede ink onto Soft Suede card stock and fussy cut them out – one for the front and one for the back.

The box is made with a 3 1/4" square of Soft Suede card stock. Score at 1" on all sides. Cut up on four of the score lines to form your box. Glue the 2 fussy cut nests on the front & back. It fits a few wrapped chocolates inside.

*Tip; before you form your basket, stamp a greeting on the bottom panel if you wish. Smart!

She stamped the greeting on a strip of Crumb Cake card stock and curled it around a toothpick. It's glued behind the bird.

The bird is punched using the Bird Builder punch from Real Red card stock. She sponged around the edges slightly to accent the wing etc. The belly is in White and is also punched out.

Over $1800 donated to Minot charities with our big stamping sale Saturday

As many of you know we hold a big paper crafting sale in June of each year where my customers can sell their excess or unwanted stamping items. This year we added a second sale that we held on Saturday. Why? Sadly one of my best friends passed away last fall and together with her family we sold her collection of stamping & scrapbooking items.

Here's a picture of some of it!

We did add some items that were generously donated by my customers from the big June sale. 100% of this sale was donated to charities in Minot.

Click on the bold names below to read about them. Feel free to donate to any of these non-profits if you'd like to.
- Matthew 25 – a nonprofit that seeks to match gifts of clothing and household items with those in need in our community at no cost.
- Hairball Haven – non-profit feline rescue. We primarily pull cats and kittens from the Minot, ND
- Project Bee – has provided overnight housing for women at local motels and apartments for chronically homeless women with mental health issues.
The craft items were marked down drastically and people noticed! Not many items were over $3 and the majority was .25 – .50 cents! Our goal was to sell as much as we could to raise money for our charities. It was the biggest success we've ever had at a sale! I am still in awe and shock at how fast the items sold. Over $1800 will be donated to these amazing organizations.

My friend was a nurse and amazingly kind & generous. She would be so happy to know we used her craft items to support others in need in our city.

We had so little left; just 6 small boxes! And the leftovers will go towards another group of ladies that make cards for prison inmates, elderly & others in need. Their group is called Folding Angels.

I apologize to those of you who could not take part due to long distance or poor timing. I know it's a tease and I'm sorry about that. But I did want to share it with you.

Special thanks to my friend Clarisse's daughter, Devin, who helped gather and sort the items to be sold. Also to my faithful and generous helpers that spent hours marking & sorting – Marilyn, Lori, Pat, Becky & Joanne plus the many that helped at the sale. It would not have been a success without the many hours of help and guidance you provided.

Simple stamping with the Simply Fabulous set & Silver & Gold DSP

I stamped directly onto this foil printed DSP with the Simply Fabulous stamp set seen here. I chose it because of it's bold, solid images.
