Incredible Seagull fun fold card with measurements!

Lori made this adorable card for our August card swap.

It looks like a normal card front doesn't it. But wait!  It opens up like this:

Isn't that neat?  The side flaps sneak under the front panel. 

She chose the use the Lily Pond Lane designer paper for her card.  It's actually on sale right now – but the sale on our Designer Papers end tomorrow!  See all of the papers on sale here. 

She added a white layer in the back for signing. It needed to be able to fold for the card to work so there's a crease in the center.

She used the Charming Duck Pond stamp set for her images & greetings. It's part of the Lily Pond Lane suite. 

Measurements:

  • Card base – 2 pieces at 4 1/4" X 8 1/4" score at 2 1/4", 4" and 6 1/4" – the widest flap is on the left and right sice when the 2 pieces are sitting next to each other. 
  • 4 1/4" X 4 1/4" front. Glue onto the middle of the folded pieces to hold them together. 
  • White – 4" square for back of card
  • DSP 4 X 4" front, 2 at 1 1/2" X 4" inner panels & 2 at 2" X 4" outer panels

    Check out this fabulous fun fold card that shows off both sides of your Designer Paper!

    I had a request to do a video for it so I featured it in this week's Stamp with Me Live on Monday night. If you aren't following me on FB here's the link to my page. 

    Here is the card made with the Peaceful Prints DSP in the Sale-a-Bration catalog seen here.  Right now it's FREE with a $50 order during Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-Bration promotion. It coordinates with the Peaceful Deer bundle.  I punched the deer on the front panel right from this paper!

    The card on the above right is made with the Peaceful Prints specialty DSP.  I added a few wreaths cut from the Seasonal Swirl dies – one in Black and one in Silver.  

    Watch the video below to see how it's made.  It's actually quite easy and really does showcase both sides of your 2-sided Designer Paper!

  • Pretty Pumpkins with Be Dazzling specialty paper

    After seeing other projects with the Pretty Pumpkin bundle I had to get it.  I love the images and the font in the greetings.

    I stamped the large pumpkin image in Pumpkin Pie ink and colored them and the leaves with Blends markers using both Pumpkin Pie & Olive markers plus light Crumb Cake for the stem & light Cajun Craze for the darkest areas on the pumpkins.

    I was playing around with the Be Dazzling specialty paper and decided to try to color it.  I had a spritzer filled with rubbing alcohol & either Pumpkin Pie or Cajun Craze ink refill.  So I spritzed it on to a piece of the glittery paper.  It worked beautifully!  I did have to let it sit for a few minutes to set well.  Then I rubbed it with tissue to get any excess off before I die-cut the pretty filigree pumpkin with it.  

    I also spritzed my White twine to color it as well.
