Happy Birthday to You; a free stamp set!

Have you seen this pretty stamp set yet?  The cake on a pedestal image is quite pretty and easy to color too. 

And guess what?!  They are releasing a set of die-cuts for this set next month!  It includes 7 dies including one for the entire cake, just the flowers, a detailed pedestal and two sets of leaves.  It will be for purchase; it's not part of Sale-a-Bration.  There are 6 new items they'll release on February 4th that coordinate with items in the new Mini catalog and Sale-a-Bration catalog.  I'll share more on that soon.  

This pretty card has a bit of the Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper on the edge; it brings together the soft colors of Pool Party, Petal Pink and White.  It's a bonus card for those who take my New Catalog stamp a stack class on January 25th.

That detailed scalloped rectangle is from my favorite new set of dies; Stitched So Sweetly.  It's one of the best things in the new Mini Catalog!  

I colored the cake with Blends markers in Petal Pink, Pool Party and Mint Macaron.  The greeting is stamped in Smoky Slate.  Note the addition of the Champagne Rhinestones and Petal Pink/Champagne ribbon!

  • Neat Double Decker pop-up card with measurements

    Today I'm sharing a new pop-up fold – at least it's new to me!  It's called a Double Decker pop up. 

    Masterfully Made 5 Save

    Measurements: 

    • White card base 8 ½” X 5 ½” scored at 2 1/8” & 4 ¼”
    • White inside pop-up box – 3 ½” square scored at ¾”, 1 ½”, 2 ¼” and 3”
    • Front textured piece 1 7/8” X 5 ¼”
    • Scalloped White inside die-cut is 3 1/8” X 4 ½”
    • Fresh Freesia is 2 ¾” X 3 ¾”
    • Designer Paper – 2 pieces per card; 2 ½” X 3 ½” & 4” X 5 ¼”

    The inside 'box' that pops up the scalloped rectangle layer is adhered to both the side and back of the card.  It folds flat when mailing but sure adds nice dimension when the card is opened.

  • One Horse Open Sleigh Spanner fun fold card

    I was surprised to see the One Horse Open Sleigh designer paper back in stock.  It was unavailable last week but it's back now.  I featured it in one of my July card kits to go.  See it here online.

    ONE HORSE OPEN SLEIGH 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER Save

    This designer paper is so pretty; it's filled with beautiful scenes and soft prints. 

    It's called a spanner card because of it's unique fold – the horizontal layer spans the card from side to side.

    I added a few die-cut trees on the right side.  I colored them with Blends markers – adding brown and Gray Granite to the white. The greeting is from the Lasting Joy stamp set. 

    The Gray Granite card base is a simple 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".  Then you cut up to the score line at the 1 1/4" mark on front; on both sides. 

    I added designer paper to the center panel and also to both side panels.  The horizontal piece 'spans' under the to side panels like this:

    Measurements:

    • Card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4".  Cut up to the score line at 1 1/4". 
    • Horizontal layer 5 1/2" X 1"
    • Designer paper 2 3/4" X 4" and two pieces 1" X 4" for the sides.
