Great sketch to create fast cards with Woven Textures

On last week's video I shared two more projects made with the Textured Notes bundle which is included in the entire Botanical Textures suite seen here.

This lovely card features Pecan Pie with Early Espresso. I stamped directly onto the designer paper – a soft linen sheet included in the Woven Textures DSP seen here.

I die-cut the three rectangles with the new Textured Notes dies which is included in the Textured Notes bundle seen here.  I cannot stop using this bundle!!

This layout was inspired by this sketch.

I love using sketches for my inspiration!  Think of them as a starting point.  Noticed I added a greeting layer & linen thread. 

Botanical Textures suite Save

Did you catch the texture on the diagonal Early Espresso strip?  That's the new Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder seen here.  I tell you this suite is incredible!  I love every single thing in it!

Below is the inside view.  Like I said yesterday these leaf stamps are wonderful to play with. Easy, beautiful cards.

  • Neat Double Decker pop-up card with measurements

    Today I'm sharing a new pop-up fold – at least it's new to me!  It's called a Double Decker pop up. 

    Masterfully Made 5 Save

    Measurements: 

    • White card base 8 ½” X 5 ½” scored at 2 1/8” & 4 ¼”
    • White inside pop-up box – 3 ½” square scored at ¾”, 1 ½”, 2 ¼” and 3”
    • Front textured piece 1 7/8” X 5 ¼”
    • Scalloped White inside die-cut is 3 1/8” X 4 ½”
    • Fresh Freesia is 2 ¾” X 3 ¾”
    • Designer Paper – 2 pieces per card; 2 ½” X 3 ½” & 4” X 5 ¼”

    The inside 'box' that pops up the scalloped rectangle layer is adhered to both the side and back of the card.  It folds flat when mailing but sure adds nice dimension when the card is opened.

  • One Horse Open Sleigh Spanner fun fold card

    I was surprised to see the One Horse Open Sleigh designer paper back in stock.  It was unavailable last week but it's back now.  I featured it in one of my July card kits to go.  See it here online.

    ONE HORSE OPEN SLEIGH 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER Save

    This designer paper is so pretty; it's filled with beautiful scenes and soft prints. 

    It's called a spanner card because of it's unique fold – the horizontal layer spans the card from side to side.

    I added a few die-cut trees on the right side.  I colored them with Blends markers – adding brown and Gray Granite to the white. The greeting is from the Lasting Joy stamp set. 

    The Gray Granite card base is a simple 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".  Then you cut up to the score line at the 1 1/4" mark on front; on both sides. 

    I added designer paper to the center panel and also to both side panels.  The horizontal piece 'spans' under the to side panels like this:

    Measurements:

    • Card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4".  Cut up to the score line at 1 1/4". 
    • Horizontal layer 5 1/2" X 1"
    • Designer paper 2 3/4" X 4" and two pieces 1" X 4" for the sides.
