Don’t miss this fun technique; use those Designer Paper scraps!
Do you have trouble tossing those small pieces of Designer Paper left from a project? I sure do! There has to be a way to use them, right? Well you can use them easily with this technique!
See? It's quite eye-catching isn't it? I kept the cards very simple to highlight the paper. Each one features the Celebration Tidings stamp set. The card above features the Plaid Tidings designer paper; it's on saleright now too!
Watch the video below to get the tips on how to create these. You just need some 1/2" strips and a ruler.
Each month Stampin’ Up! will offer a product of the month. It will be brand new product you will ‘earn’ with a qualifying purchase. It’s sort of like Sale-a-Bration every month!
This month it’s the True Blue Florals 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. See it here.
I just love the font on the greetings and the unique coordinating dies in this bundle. My colors are classy in Black, White and Gold foil. You might notice two different embossing folders on the White layer. One is the Traditional Wreath 3D and the other is the Forever Plaid 3D.
There is a scored line on the front layer to create a pocket for a gift card inside. I used a punch to create a bit of interest on it.
What do you think of this color combination for Christmas? I worried some might not like it but everyone at my Clubs loved this card. The Modern Christmas designer paper seen hereis gorgeous with it’s fun patterns.
I did heat emboss the greeting with Gold embossing powder and punched it out with the Labeled with Love punch. The bits of Gold foil all over this card really make it special!
There are so many things that absolutely make this card a winner! She did case it from Ruth’s Stamping Corner. First of all the Need for Tweed designer series paper; how perfect! Then there’s the cute acorns that are included in the punch! Then the Earthen Toned foil paper circle – punched with our 2 3/8″ circle punch. And what about that neat fold she created!
It’s basically a book-binding card fold but with a twist. She is great about sending me her Measurements: – Lost Lagoon 11″ X 4 1/4″ score on long side at 2 1/8″, 4 1/4″ & 5 1/2″, 2nd piece is 3 1/4″ X 4 1/4″ – Vanilla – 2″ X 4″ and her sentiment is 3″ X 7/8″ – Need for Tweed – 3″ X 4″, 1″ X 4″ & 2″ X 4″
Thanks for making this adorable swap card for us Candy!
