CUTE Easter Bunny projects by Sharon; our Artist of the Month

Easter is just 2 weeks away so I thought I'd share Sharon's projects featuring the Easter Bunny bundle. She chose it for her Artist of the Month theme and she knocked it out of the park!

Unfortunately the bundle is not currently available as the Easter Bunny punch is out of stock.  It will be back on or before May 15th.  You can get the Easter Bunny stamp set now.

I'll share a brief description of each:

She stamped her bunnies on Vellum and colored in just the ears.  The vellum is die-cut with the Scalloped Contour dies. So many cute details here – note the bird, egg and carrot…. The grass in front and the white cloud pieces under the vellum set the scene!

Next is a few of her adorable  Easter treats:

ON the top left is one of our Scalloped Kraft Treat boxes seen here. She punched the bunny through the lid and added a piece of window sheet to hold in the yummy candy.  The blue 'pull-up' candy bar treat holds a massive kit kat candy bar!  I love the bunny punched through the front with a sweet basket. Just wrap the ribbon around the bar and tie at the top for a fun pull up treat.  *Tip; use the size of your candy bar to guide you on cutting/folding your card stock wrap.

Here is a close-up of the bunny eggs.  She stamped the White strip and added it to a card stock wrap. The bunnies are stamped, colored and fussy cut then added to the band.

Next is a fun fold with three bunnies on the diagonal.

This card is a standard A2 card – 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4". She added the front two squares on the front panel and here's how she added the center bunny to the inside edge.  The designer paper is the new Hello, Irresistible DSP.

I love the additions she added to each one, flowers, a carrot and eggs; all from the Easter Bunny stamp set.

Look closely at the ribbon and fancy edge element on this next card:

She used two colors or our In Color ribbon and twisted them together.  Fun!  And for the DSP element here she die-cut multiple labels from the Fancy Flora DSP & Natural Prints dies to create this pretty layer.  Clever & creative!

This next card is a card with an additional 'gift'.  A bunny bookmark…

See how the double bunny can be removed to use as a bookmark?  It's held onto her basket with magnets.  These magnets are adheres to each side of the bunnies. The card looks great without the magnet bookmark too.  Super clever!

This next card is made from a window sheet.  Yes; the card base is a clear window sheet!  So cool.

The die-cut wreath is from the Natural Prints dies using Fancy Flora DSP.

Here's a view of the inside. She added the card stock to the inside front and the inside back of the folded Window Sheet card base.

Lastly a set of sour cream treat containers:

Have you ever made one of these?  It's been awhile for me but they are so fun to make.  Basically it a tube of paper that you secure one end well. Then fill with candy and secure the other end closed opposite from the other end.  Traditionally you use a crimper to crease the end, but you can use a scoring tool as well.

She had fun adding multiple tags to each!

Didn't she do an amazing job?!  So many wonderful and SUPER creative projects. Well done Sharon!!

  • Bewitching Bundle for my Artist of the Month series

    I'm excited to share these incredible projects made by Annette. She is our Artist of the Month as part of my Flowerbug's Team.  Each month we have a featured artist that showcases a stamp set or bundle.  For creating the projects they get to keep their new bundle as a gift.

    She chose to use the Bewitching Bundle from the 2022 Holiday Catalog.  See it here.

    First up today is an eye catching card featuring the Gingham Cottage designer paper.

    She used Pumpkin Pie blends markers to color her hat and added a stamped spider and Black hat band.  The stitched circle die-cuts are from the Stylish Shapes dies.  Offsetting them adds a playful look to the card.

    Next is a super cute coordinating candy treat box:

    She found the box pattern from Cathryn Themann.  It's about 5" X 3" in size and fits a row of Tootsie Rolls nicely.

    She used the same Cottage Gingham designer paper as she did on the card above. Notice that cute Black & Pumpkin gingham ribbon?  She colored it with a Pumpkin Pie blends marker!  Perfect!

    The circle and banner die-cuts are from the Stylish Frames dies seen here.  They're my 'go to' set of dies lately!

    She added the perfect finish to her hat band; the Black & Pumpkin glitter washi tape.

    Come back for more fantastic projects featuring the Bewitching Bundle tomorrow!

  • Last of the Holiday & Sale-a-Bration Team Swaps!

    And here are the last of the Team swaps made by my Flowerbug members.  Our theme was to use Holiday or Sale-a-Bration catalog items.  They knocked it out of the park as usual!!

    First up is a stunning card made by Marla.  She featured the Peace To You stamp set seen here.

    She used TWO of the new specialty designer papers here – the Snowflakes 12" Vellum as an overlay on the stamped image.  Then the long dotted strip is from the Metallic & Shimmer 6" paper.  These are both in the 2022 Holiday catalog.

    She added a wrap of Silver Metallic Mesh ribbon around the left edge, which helps hide any adhesive when adding the vellum.

    ~~~
    Next is a cute card using the Yeti to Party stamp set made by Monica.  I LOVE her bright, happy colors for this holiday card.
    The color combo is Coastal Cabana, White & Calypso Coral.  The designer paper background is the Sale-a-Bration 'Rings of Love'.  She stamped snowflakes on it to make it more 'holiday' themed.  She tore a strip of Happy Forest Friends DSP below it.
    ~~~

    Lastly is a neat card made by Miles using the Tree Lot dies.  Unfortunately these dies are out of stock now and not available.  They were free during our Sale-a-Bration promotion but they ran out and will not be bringing them back.  A sad reminder that Sale-a-Bration items are 'While Supplies Last'.

    There are so many neat details about this card:

    • He die-cut a window in the Sahara Sand front panel with the Stylish Shapes dies
    • The greeting is from the Bottled Happiness stamp set in the Annual Catalog
    • He added a strip of Natural 1/2" woven ribbon
    • The background is textured with the Timber 3D embossing folder

    Here is a photo of all of our  amazing August Flowerbug Team swaps!

  • Great card ideas from my Flowerbug’s Team swaps!

    Here are a few more swap cards made by my Flowerbug's Team in August.  I hope you get some inspiration from them.

    First is a sweet card made by Candy using the Caroling Mice stamp set. It's a hostess stamp set that's free with host rewards. See it and the details on page 86 of the Holiday catalog.  Or click here.

    Her colors are Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, White & Shaded Spruce.  She colored the images in with Blends markers.  I love how she paired the Merry Melody embossing folder with this!

    The circles are from the Layering Circles dies and the designer paper is the Lights Aglow specialty DSP.  It is currently out of stock but will return in September.

    Next is another fun card using the same Caroling Mice set, made by Sharon.

    She used a totally different color combo here – Orchid Oasis with White & Garden Green.

    We colored the mouse in with watercolor pencils and smoothed them out with a Blender pen.  She used the Deckle dies for her rectangles, the Christmas Banner dies for the greeting and the trees are from the same set but fussy cut.

    That dotted silver background paper is from the Silver & Gold DSP – currently available free with a $50 during Sale-a-Bration in August.  Sale-a-Bration ends on the 31st!

    We used the Pearlized Enamel Effects on the tree ornaments, the music notes and for his hat pompom! So fun!

    It comes in 3 colors – Black, White & Real Red. See this product here.

    ~~~
    Lastly for today is Becky's card – she loves to combine multiple stamp sets & dies for a super creative card!
    I'll list them here:
    • Ornament, stars, bow & pine bough – Decorated Pine dies
    • Plaid background in Red glimmer & Shaded Spruce – Candy Cane dies
    • The ornament is made from Silver Foil paper & paper pieced with In Color glitter paper!
