CUTE Easter Bunny projects by Sharon; our Artist of the Month

Easter is just 2 weeks away so I thought I'd share Sharon's projects featuring the Easter Bunny bundle. She chose it for her Artist of the Month theme and she knocked it out of the park!

Unfortunately the bundle is not currently available as the Easter Bunny punch is out of stock.  It will be back on or before May 15th.  You can get the Easter Bunny stamp set now.

I'll share a brief description of each:

She stamped her bunnies on Vellum and colored in just the ears.  The vellum is die-cut with the Scalloped Contour dies. So many cute details here – note the bird, egg and carrot…. The grass in front and the white cloud pieces under the vellum set the scene!

Next is a few of her adorable  Easter treats:

ON the top left is one of our Scalloped Kraft Treat boxes seen here. She punched the bunny through the lid and added a piece of window sheet to hold in the yummy candy.  The blue 'pull-up' candy bar treat holds a massive kit kat candy bar!  I love the bunny punched through the front with a sweet basket. Just wrap the ribbon around the bar and tie at the top for a fun pull up treat.  *Tip; use the size of your candy bar to guide you on cutting/folding your card stock wrap.

Here is a close-up of the bunny eggs.  She stamped the White strip and added it to a card stock wrap. The bunnies are stamped, colored and fussy cut then added to the band.

Next is a fun fold with three bunnies on the diagonal.

This card is a standard A2 card – 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4". She added the front two squares on the front panel and here's how she added the center bunny to the inside edge.  The designer paper is the new Hello, Irresistible DSP.

I love the additions she added to each one, flowers, a carrot and eggs; all from the Easter Bunny stamp set.

Look closely at the ribbon and fancy edge element on this next card:

She used two colors or our In Color ribbon and twisted them together.  Fun!  And for the DSP element here she die-cut multiple labels from the Fancy Flora DSP & Natural Prints dies to create this pretty layer.  Clever & creative!

This next card is a card with an additional 'gift'.  A bunny bookmark…

See how the double bunny can be removed to use as a bookmark?  It's held onto her basket with magnets.  These magnets are adheres to each side of the bunnies. The card looks great without the magnet bookmark too.  Super clever!

This next card is made from a window sheet.  Yes; the card base is a clear window sheet!  So cool.

The die-cut wreath is from the Natural Prints dies using Fancy Flora DSP.

Here's a view of the inside. She added the card stock to the inside front and the inside back of the folded Window Sheet card base.

Lastly a set of sour cream treat containers:

Have you ever made one of these?  It's been awhile for me but they are so fun to make.  Basically it a tube of paper that you secure one end well. Then fill with candy and secure the other end closed opposite from the other end.  Traditionally you use a crimper to crease the end, but you can use a scoring tool as well.

She had fun adding multiple tags to each!

Didn't she do an amazing job?!  So many wonderful and SUPER creative projects. Well done Sharon!!

  • Explosion ‘Wow’ cards with step by step video tutorial and template.

We made explosion cards on Facebook Live Monday night.  I host a free class called Stamp with Me Live on the last Monday evening of each month on my FB page here.  Be sure to follow me there.

I always upload the video on my NEW YouTube Channel afterwards so even if you're not on Facebook you can watch it later.

I chose to use the Favored Flowers designer paper – it's a free Sale-a-Bration choice right now; while supplies last.  You can earn it free with any $50 order from Stampin' Up!.  See it here.

The card starts out as a gate-fold fun fold card.  Easy enough….  I chose to fussy cut a few flowers & leaves from the pretty DSP to add to my greeting element.  The greeting is from the Fitting Florets stamp set. The white stitched circle is from the Stylish Shapes dies.  I also added a few Brushed Brass butterflies; love these!  They're so dainty and nice & flat.

Here's the inside view of the explosion insert:

I added the layered squares on the diagonally at the center of the explosion piece.  Note that this is only adhered on the very outside edge of the inside card.  It sort of floats.  Please watch the video here to see exactly how it's done.  It's quite difficult to explain how this is done in writing.

**I created a free project sheet for this card; Download it here

Below is the template I used for the designer paper explosion layer.  You'll start out with a 4" X 8" piece of designer paper and score vertically at 2", 4" and 6".  Then score on the diagonal 4 times as shown.

I hope you try making one of these; they're so fun!

  • What a Fun Sketch! Check out #CC 57 made with the pretty Favored Flowers DSP

We have 2-3 sketch or color challenges each month on our Flowerbug's Team.  I decided to use the Favored Flowers Sale-a-Bration designer paper for my version.

I also used the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder and Happy Labels stamp set. Both are new in the Jan-June Spring catalog.

I love this sketch because it's simple and unique.  A few rectangles and a strip of card stock are your starting point. Then add other elements as needed.  My diagonal strip is going the opposite way but that's okay; sketches are a starting point that you can change as needed.

    My measurements are:

    • Petal Pink card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • DSP 2 3/4" X 4"
    • Calypso Coral  2 1/2" X 4"
    • Evergreen 1" X 5"

I did fussy cut a flower from the pretty Favored Flowers DSP. See it here.

This designer paper is free with any $50 purchase during our SAB (Sale-a-Bration) promotion through February 28th.  But remember that it's while supplies last!

Sketches are a wonderful starting point to creating a card.  I highly recommend them.  You can find many on Pinterest; just search card sketches.

Paula made this cool card with the Dainty Delight bundle; she's so clever!

Her colors are Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight & Night of Navy.

    Details:

    • She used the partial die-cut technique.  She stamped & heat embossed the flower image first and then die-cut the layered edge to match before texturing it.
    • That flowery DSP is the Regency Park paper in the 2023 Jan-April catalog.
    • The texture is from the new Cane Weave 3D embossing folder seen here.
    • Notice that little tiny daisy on the greeting banner?  That's the new Loose Daisy Embellishments seen here.  They are not adhesive-backed and can be added with a mini glue dot or a dot of glue.  Each one has a little leaf on it!

Next is a pretty card by Karen featuring the Desert Details bundle and the Delicate Desert designer paper.

Her colors include Gray Granite & Calypso Coral with White & Gold.  The greeting, pretty flowers and border die are all from that Desert Details bundle seen here.

    • Card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • DSP 5 1/2" X 3 1/8"
    • Calypso Coral 5 1/2" X 3 1/2"
    • White 4 1/2" X 3/4"

Next is a special card made by Candace using the Lucky Clover bundle.

The Lucky Clover bundle is unfortunately out of stock and not returning. The Lucky Clover punch is now unavailable.  I'm sorry if you had your eye on it!  You can still get the Lucky Clover stamp set though.

She used 2 different greens for her clovers – Soft Sea Foam, Soft Succulent & Evening Evergreen.  What you can't see in the photo is the scoring she did on her black background. She used the scoring board on the diagonal to add a scored texture.  So cool!
