CUTE Easter Bunny projects by Sharon; our Artist of the Month

Easter is just 2 weeks away so I thought I'd share Sharon's projects featuring the Easter Bunny bundle. She chose it for her Artist of the Month theme and she knocked it out of the park!

Unfortunately the bundle is not currently available as the Easter Bunny punch is out of stock.  It will be back on or before May 15th.  You can get the Easter Bunny stamp set now.

I'll share a brief description of each:

She stamped her bunnies on Vellum and colored in just the ears.  The vellum is die-cut with the Scalloped Contour dies. So many cute details here – note the bird, egg and carrot…. The grass in front and the white cloud pieces under the vellum set the scene!

Next is a few of her adorable  Easter treats:

ON the top left is one of our Scalloped Kraft Treat boxes seen here. She punched the bunny through the lid and added a piece of window sheet to hold in the yummy candy.  The blue 'pull-up' candy bar treat holds a massive kit kat candy bar!  I love the bunny punched through the front with a sweet basket. Just wrap the ribbon around the bar and tie at the top for a fun pull up treat.  *Tip; use the size of your candy bar to guide you on cutting/folding your card stock wrap.

Here is a close-up of the bunny eggs.  She stamped the White strip and added it to a card stock wrap. The bunnies are stamped, colored and fussy cut then added to the band.

Next is a fun fold with three bunnies on the diagonal.

This card is a standard A2 card – 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4". She added the front two squares on the front panel and here's how she added the center bunny to the inside edge.  The designer paper is the new Hello, Irresistible DSP.

I love the additions she added to each one, flowers, a carrot and eggs; all from the Easter Bunny stamp set.

Look closely at the ribbon and fancy edge element on this next card:

She used two colors or our In Color ribbon and twisted them together.  Fun!  And for the DSP element here she die-cut multiple labels from the Fancy Flora DSP & Natural Prints dies to create this pretty layer.  Clever & creative!

This next card is a card with an additional 'gift'.  A bunny bookmark…

See how the double bunny can be removed to use as a bookmark?  It's held onto her basket with magnets.  These magnets are adheres to each side of the bunnies. The card looks great without the magnet bookmark too.  Super clever!

This next card is made from a window sheet.  Yes; the card base is a clear window sheet!  So cool.

The die-cut wreath is from the Natural Prints dies using Fancy Flora DSP.

Here's a view of the inside. She added the card stock to the inside front and the inside back of the folded Window Sheet card base.

Lastly a set of sour cream treat containers:

Have you ever made one of these?  It's been awhile for me but they are so fun to make.  Basically it a tube of paper that you secure one end well. Then fill with candy and secure the other end closed opposite from the other end.  Traditionally you use a crimper to crease the end, but you can use a scoring tool as well.

She had fun adding multiple tags to each!

Didn't she do an amazing job?!  So many wonderful and SUPER creative projects. Well done Sharon!!

  • Beautiful Balloons ‘latch’ fun fold card; new products in the Annual Catalog

I've sure been enjoying playing with new products from the new Annual Catalog by Stampin' Up!  The Bright & Beautiful suite is one we could pre-order early as a Demonstrator.

Here's one of my recent projects:

I made it with my Flowerbug's Team on our monthly Zoom gathering. It was a mystery card designed by Candace.

My colors include Fresh Freesia, Blueberry Bushel and white.

I placed the top panel on the left edge of the front card fold, adding Dimensionals to just the very left edge.  It allows the right fold to 'latch' and hold the card closed.  Below is a photo showing how the right side 'catches' under the front panel.

    Measurements are:

    • Card base 5 ½” X 7 ¼” scored at 4 ¼”
    • left panel 4 ¼” square score on one side at 1”
    • front panel 2 ½” X 3 ½”
    • Basic White 4” X 5 ¼”(inside)  & front is 2 ¼” X 3 ¼”
    • Portrait DSP 2 ¾” X 5 ¼”
    • Portrait DSP; same or different 3” X 4”

All of these products are now available in the new Annual Catalog.  If you don't have a local demonstrator let me know; I'll send you one for just $5.  If you order from me online first I'll send it free!

Remember that my new catalog designer paper share is still open for a limited time.  Get 80 sheets of 6 X 6" DSP – all from the new catalog for just $28.50 plus shipping.  Reserve your spot here.

  • Crafting with You; one more way to use it!

During this week's Live video I shared how to make this cute card featuring the Crafting with You bundle seen here; new in the 2023-24 Annual Catalog.

This card is done in Boho Blue with only white to accent it.  I stamped the background with the Cheerful Daisies stamp.  I cut a slit in the stamped & die-cut machine with a craft knife to insert the textured White layer into.

I added a 1" strip of the new In Color 6 X 6" DSP to the White cardstock before I die-cut it with the new Countryside Corners dies.

I shared the following photo last week to show you the newest In Colors but since I made a video showing you how to make this card I'm sharing it again now.

Which color is your favorite?  From left to right – Pebbled Path, Copper Clay, Wild Wheat, Moody Mauve & Boho Blue.

  • See 2 ways to use the new ‘Crafting with You’ bundle in my video

On my weekly Live video I shared two, well actually three ways to use the incredible Crafting with You bundle seen here from Stampin' Up!  It's new in the 2023-24 Annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  Here's one of them:

It's perfect for the seamstress or quilter. I couldn't resist making a card featuring some of our frequently used tools – like the paper trimmer and die-cutting machine….

This set has so many options for crafters! It has an easel & paint brushes, yarn, embroidery hoop, sewing machine, paper crafting etc.  It's loaded!

These cards feature TWO of our newest colors in our color families.  Left is Bubble Bath and right is Azure Afternoon.  I used Smoky Slate, White, Black and a bit of silver on my cards.

I stamped my large white layer with the same ink as the card base and because it was a little busy I added a layer of vellum over it.  Then a stamp of Bright & Beautiful DSP before I added the textured 3" circle.  The circle also helps tone down the busy background.

A few neat tips on this card: there are two different baskets you can add items to including the yarn, paint brushes, spools of thread or even flowers.

I show how to make the scissors in the video.  You need to cut out two; one in black and one in silver.  Trim off the silver ends and add them over the full, black scissor die-cuts.

For the paper crafting card I stamped the greeting on a strip of White cardstock and inserted it into the paper trimmer.  Love that the die-cut leaves this option for us.  The black 'knob' on my trimmer cuts out separately so you can add it in place as you like.  They thought of everything on this set!!
