Cottage Wreaths gift treat bag with video; easy and uses your DSP too!

I shared this cute project on a FB Live video a few weeks ago.  It features the Country Wreaths bundle and the Santa Express designer paper.  Here's the link to the video.

Look at the wreaths above; they're each unique, showing how much variety there is in the stamp set & dies.  

The left is mostly die-cuts with an additional bow & berries added.  The right has the stamped wreath over the die-cut green wreath.  The bow is die-cut from Red glimmer paper. So many options!

I started with a piece of DSP at 5 1/2" X 8 1/2". Score at 1 1/4" with the short edge at the top.  Then with the long edge at the top score at 2", 4", 6" & 8" up to that first score line.  Tip: You're only scoring the bottom of this bag. 

Crease on the score lines and glue together.  *watch the video to see how.

  • Fabulous Gone Fishing bundle swap cards

    Father's Day is coming up Sunday and the Gone Fishing bundle is perfect for the occasion.  

    I received two swap cards on the cruise and thought you'd like to see them.  First is my friend Susie Wood's card.  Her style is similar to mine and we often share cards with each other. My husband and I spent time with her and her husband Deke on the cruise; not enough but we both treasure our friendship so much! Check out her fabulous blog here.  She is super creative and a master at fun folds.

  • Marvelous Nature Ombre technique with video tutorial

    Today I'm sharing the other card I made during Tuesday's video.  Both featured the new set called Marvelous Nature.

    I used an ombre technique where I inked the solid stamped image with three inks consecutively.  The top is Pool Party, the middle is Lost Lagoon and the bottom is Pretty Peacock.

    The greeting is from the set but I did use the Stylish Shapes dies for it and popped it up on Dimensionals.

    The card base is Lost Lagoon with two strips of Pretty Peacock under the main image.  As you can see by the photo below the left card is lighter than the right one.  In the video I went over the upper part of the image one more time using the Stamparatus; mostly so I could get a more solid, complete image.

  • Pretty Marvelous Nature card with video tutorial & measurements

    I've seen a few projects with the Marvelous Nature set and was intrigued by it's reverse images. And it's nature so I ordered it.  This card was one of two I made on this week's Live video:

    I chose to use Lost Lagoon with Pretty Peacock. I also added some of the Hello, Irresistible designer paper. This pretty DSP is on sale right now too!  See it here.  

    You may also spy the shimmery strip beside the greeting.  This is our Soft Shimmer 12" X 12" paper pack seen here.  It has 5 rich colors in it.

    The Marvelous Nature stamp set (seen here) includes two beautiful images and three greetings.  I kept my card very simple to show off the pretty fern image.
