A striking technique with the Naturally Gilded specialty paper; with video & free project sheet!

I shared how to make this card on last week's video. It features the Naturally Gilded designer paper seen here.  

Direct to Paper resist Save

This pretty paper has a white background and Silver, Gold or Copper foil patterns. You can see it in the Online Exclusives while supplies last. 

NATURALLY GILDED 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER Save

I decided to do a direct to paper resist technique and change the White background to Black.  You can do this technique on any foil printed designer paper. The foil resists the ink so you can wipe it off once the background is saturated. 

I used a Black Memento ink pad which is water-based. You can use any water-based ink but not Stazon. Stazon ink would cover the foil patterns. 

How did I do it?  I had my paper laying face up and rubbed or tapped my Memento ink pad all over the specialty paper. Once you're done adding ink simply wipe the ink off the foil prints with a tissue or paper towel.

  • Colorful Hope Box card kit; limited supply! Opt in ASAP

    I have a 2nd card kit to go during May (see the card kit I posted yesterday here).

  • Hues of Happiness Card Kit to Go or PDF tutorial

    I hadn't planned on featuring this designer paper for my May card kit to go but once I received it I had to use it!  If you love florals you will enjoy this card kit!

    I created 10 cards using color combinations in the DSP; many of which are fun fold designs. I used the Happiness Abounds stamp set for my greetings and a few extra accents inside.

    You have a few choices if you're interested in this kit.  I have the PDF tutorial only, the pre-cut kit to go with the tutorial and you can also add on the stamp set or bundle with the pre-cut kit so you have it all!  

    The PDF tutorial is emailed immediately after payment and the kit is sent out via Priority Mail at the end of May.

  • Nature’s Prints in our new Tahitian Tide in color

    I thought our new Tahitian Tide in color would pair well with Night of Navy and created this pretty card.

    I stamped the large leaf image on the Tahitian Tide layer for a background and used that same image again on the mail White layer and just a bit on the greeting too. 

    I used it for many purposes in April – for my Flowerbug's Team make & takes, an online swap and for last week's FB Live video too.
